These "Comfort Wash" short sleeve t-shirts are amazing. I also purchased the "Comfort Wash" tanks because they are too. If you're like me and miss the Hanes products from the old days like t-shirts that were longer, fit right, and thicker (but not too thick like Heavyweight or Beefy-T), and 100% COTTON then these are the ones for you. They are even better than the old days ones. The cotton is sooooo soft and fits my body perfectly, which is why I chose Hanes in the first place many years ago. I'm your average Joe. 5'10, 160lbs, 30 waist, size Medium shirt, and size 10 shoe. I'm also 50 and am not looking for tight clothes like the younger pups are wearing. These fit perfectly without being too big, but with a nice comfortable hang to them. Quick note to your readership: NEVER dry your shirts, hoodies, shorts, or jeans. They stay true fit when you always hang dry like grandma used to do.

Oh, and Hanes Decision Maker People, keep making 100% COTTON items, cut it out with the cheap polyester stuff. They make even a thin guy like me sweat when it's not even hot out. This makes people not buy your products anymore...AND WE CUSTOMERS NEED A 100% COTTON HOODIE PLEASE. I repeat, please make a 100% Cotton hoodie. They will sell big.

Thanks, Hanes, keep it real and keep it honest. You were an American standard and need to regain that status again. Honestly, even men talk about how awesome your clothes used to be. I think you are back on track a little bit with these "Comfort Wash" items. I look forward to only wearing Hanes again like I used to.

Hanes may be making a Comeback

I got it in the purple, small. It is pretty long I won't lie, but I have a short torso so that isn't uncommon for me, your millage may vary. Aside from that, I love the color, and Hanes always delivers on a comfortable material. Very nice cotton, fits well otherwise aside from length.

Great Color, Comfortable Fit

Nice, smooth cotton tee shirt. I know it's a man's shirt but I bought it for myself. It fits pretty well except for the bottom of it. Men are built straight down, mostly but women are built with curves. The bottom, I will shorten shorten and that will fix the problem for me. It came through the wash and dry perfectly. It doesn't seem to have shrunk any.

I got this shirt in multiple colors. I chose an XL to accommodate my curves without too much cling. It's a nice, basic t-shirt but sizing wasn't consistent; out of the 10+ shirts I got, two or three were cut a little different (looser at the bottom hem, which I prefer). The rest of the shirts fit too snug at the bottom hem. I prefer it to be a little more relaxed to accommodate my curvy hips and butt. Hope they can improve this. Thanks.

Nice shirt but need consistency in sizing

Ordering online was a bit of a hassle. Hanes's website doesn't work on every browser and I had to use PayPal to actually buy it. Overall the site needs better functionality.

As for the shirts themselves, I'm happy with most of them! The Crimson Fall color is deceiving on the site, and actually looks rather pale. The Horizon color also has a "dirty" look to it.

Despite that, all the colors still look nice and have a somewhat rustic look, but I like duller tones anyway. The purple plum is my favorite of the collection.

All of them have a nice, roomy fit and feel warm without being too heavy. They're all very soft and all around feel great to wear.

Inconsistent color quality, but good fit.

Shirt is cut too long - hangs down to my butt, which is uncomfortable, unsightly, and at odds with past versions of this iconic t-shirt (worn untucked).  I will need to get them all altered to a normal dimension.

It's okay, because the price was so low. It's not particularly comfortable cotton, and, in grand Hanes tradition, you never know what the fit is going to be until you get it. Some of their t shirts stop at your belt, some of them fall halfway down to your knees. This is one of the latter.

I researched to find this particular shirt because of one I had purchased from a fishing outfitter. I was so impressed with the fit. The 2xl shirt I purchased fit great and was long enough to cover my large gut, not loose on the arms like 3xl would be. I ordered the exact t-shirts from Hanes, 4 black 2xl and 2 Slate 3xl. The 2xl is disappointing, it fits like an average 2xl and the 3xl I'm afraid to put in the dryer because it might shrink. I'm really disappointed, Harwich Bait shop sold me the best shirt ever and it is a Hanes Comfort Wash,,,mine same shirt different fit!!!!

Right shirt, wrong fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this first arrived it was soft and comfy and I was happy it was not so thin it was "see through".  However after wearing and washing it twice it already has 2 holes on the back near the arm seam on the left side.  I'm not sure if this is due to how that seam was sewn but it does not live up to the quality I expect from Hanes.  I wear men's t-shirts almost daily and this one is already one I can't wear out anymore!

Comfy but doesn't hold up well

The Comfort wash tee size L won't fit my preteen nephew, the shrinkage was substantial and the tee shirts would have to be ironed to be worn to school. Not likely to purchase again.
