I bought this to replace an older model and I wasn't disappointed! What great sound! Bone vibrating bass and a high end that is crisp and clear. There is nothing close to HK quality in this price range from any other company.

After using this portable speaker I found out that it's easy to connect with devices. As for the sound quality, I found out that by using equalizer you can tweak the sound to suit your liking. It comes as a default which is flat. I like to increase treble and mid range to be flat and base to be a little bit lower than the flat. Bass is by default strong and tight. For some users base might be too strong. Anyway I highly recommend using equalizer app. An excellent speaker for the money.

I bought this speaker on a Black FriYay deal. I did not know what to expect. WOW! Far exceeded my expectations. A speaker of its size can fill a room with rich, deep crisp music. This is the seal of the holiday season by far. Thank you for producing such an amazing product.

INCREDIBLE sound from a small speaker system!

I bought a pair of HK Onyx Studio 8 during the black Friday sale. I'm on HM email list, and the deep discount and excellent customer reviews caught my attention. 

My initial plan was to use this Bluetooth speaker with my work PC set up, but I decided to pair the two speakers in stereo and use it as another audio option in my bedroom with my 75" LG TV. 

The sturdy built-in metal handle allowed me to mount the speakers on my bed posts, giving excellent surround sound experience that's additionally enhanced through deep bass reproduction felt through the bed.

It's spectacular! There are so many Bluetooth speakers out there but this one is too notch. I had high expectations a they were exceeded. The sound quality holds up in multiple rooms of our house and I have it paired with my turntable. I highly recommend this speaker.

Music lovers need this

I like this speaker. Great audio, well balanced between the low frequency, mids and high tones. I like how it is also powered by a cord and not rechargeable battery. Also a plus that this speaker can take calls or be used as an audio source for virtual meetings.

Much more than I expected

Great bluetooth speaker! I expected more after seeing the reviews online. The base is low but there's a noticeable difference playing music from an Apple device and other devices. iPhone X and above and Samsung S23  and the ultra line up (with dolby atmos turned on) have better sound. The mids are great and sound is really clear for calls, music and movies. The base sounds better indoors but is a bit low outdoors. A good purchase overall.

Good sound but base could be better

I purchased to use with Roku TV , phone and sometimes outdoors. The lack of Roku TV to pair is not HK issue but definitely left me disappointed that HK don't have Roku TV pairing with HK onyx studio9 with NO mic( pro or con) 
I must admit the product is well built and clear sound notes will have an impact on you, with Pairing and ease of use with App is seamless.
I tried to cast on Roku thru Iph and send sound thru my phone thru HK( with Bluetooth)that didnt work either, unfortunately sound came only thru TV speakers and not HK. To conserve battery it keeps going to sleep, and needs a walk to speaker to wake up and to play your fav channel or genre.

Great sound hear me out before

I bought 2 of the Onyx Studio 8 speakers. I wanted to connect them to my TV. I can connect 1 but not the other. I read online how to connect the 2 speakers together but it's only worked 1 time. Unable to find any real documentation from Harmon Kardon on how to connect multiple speakers, however they do advertise the functionality. Very disappointing! Sound from 1 speaker is amazing, I only wish I could reliably connect 2 speakers.
