This is a great set of the Harry Potter movies. I originally had a collection of various DVD disks with inconsistent special content. None of them were Blu-ray. I finally traded them in thinking that I would not be interested in viewing them again.

I was wrong! So when I saw the ad for a complete Blu-ray set of Harry Potter films at a reasonable price I ordered it.

The widescreen presentation is good as well as the special feature content. But best of all is having the added enhancement of Blu-ray visual and sound quality.

This is a worthwhile addition to my DVD/Blu-ray collection.

Truly Magical

If you are looking for the Harry Potter movies with the extra scenes or the bonus features this is not for you. It's just the movies. When you put the disc in it goes right to the movie and not the menu, that being said you don't have to bother with the previews either. As a Harry Potter fan it's just what I wanted. I own all of the movies on DVD with the special extras but just wanted the movies on blu ray, no frills needed.

As a Harry Potter fan, I upgraded from DVD to Blu-ray when the price became reasonable. I will be giving my DVD collection to a friend who does not have a Blu-ray player. I enjoyed the behind the scenes/bonuses on this collection.

I just wish the bonuses would still be available on regular DVDs, (like it use to be) but the industry wants people to buy Blu-ray.

Reasonable cost to upgrade from DVD to Blue-ray

I've been updating my DVD Library with Blu-Ray (or 4K) HD DVD's and this excellent series of DVD's (8 in total) were wonderfully put together. I haven't finished watching all of the DVD's but out of the 5 watched to date, I've been very impressed. I highly recommend this purchase if you don't want to count on streaming. The specials are fun to watch as well, although I found in some of the interviews, the sound was not in sync with the video. Have no idea how that happens.

Nice Entertainment Investment

I hate that the movies don't have a top menu. I've gotten through the first 2 movies because I'm reading the books and then watching, but so far the disc just starts to play the movie. When you click menu it takes you to a page with bunch of behind the scenes/extra stuff all jumbled up. I don't like that. The movies are great though and the blu ray quality is awesome!

Fabulous, Except

The movies are great, but the Walmart instawatch was removed from the info after it was ordered I reported not receiving the instawatch took a photo and waited 5 days later they removed the instawatch information.

Some of the discs keep freezing and skipping. The box and front of the disc's look brand new. But if you turn the dics over, there's scratches all over them. I read that other people who bought this from Walmart and Amazon, came across the same problem. So buyers beware!

the set included 8 discs i played all as time permitted.  the last disc 8 part 2 would not play notice came up saying " unable to play this disc, the disc might not be finalized ".

These are not the American film DVDs. The back is clearly labeled, “Not for sale outside of Canada”… There should be more clear marking online here that these are not the Blu-ray disc that are made for American Blu-ray players. I wasn't even able to play them on my Blu-ray player, I'm not sure if they are illegitimate or just international versions that aren't compatible. Buyer beware.
