harry potter special edition </3 .

walmart.com

This was the perfect gift for my 12 year old. She loves the books, has read them several times and now can enjoy them anytime with this beautiful collection. The case is perfect for storing the books and keeping them safe. The new covers are drawn beautifully!

Came in complete series inside its own box. My 9 yr old grand daughter and I reading this series this summer. The price was great and there was free shipping!

Great for summer reading!

The books are nice, but I was under the impression that they were hardcover as it said "format: hardcover" when this set appeared on the website. I was slightly disappointed to see that they were softcover despite the books' presentation and design. So this leads me to a 4-star rating rather than 5. Other than that, everything else is fine.

NOT hardcover!!! But great books...

I feel like re-reading Harry Potter series, but I didn't want to open my collectors edition and the illustrated edition is abridged. So I was looking for a cheap version to buy. This was the least expensive set I found. Mind you this is like the 3rd or4th set I buy.
I love the Illustrations.
Now listing says “hardcovers.” They are not. The set is “paperback.” Am I disappointed, no. They will serve their purpose and is was about $25 cheaper than other paperback sets found.

Great for the price. But beware it is paperback

Bought this boxed "hardcover" set for my grandson because he likes hardcover books. He opened it today for his birthday and they are NOT hardcover! Very dissappointed.

This product, Harry Potter Books 1-7 Special Edition Boxed Set (Hardcover), is as you can see, advertised as "Hardcover" but in fact the books are actually paperback. The paperback is in this instance is thicker and somewhat more sturdy than most paperback books but is not a true hardback covering.

False advertising

The description indicated that they were Hardcover books, however they were paperback. I truly prefer hardcover, but I needed these today for a meeting. Disappointed.

These are NOT hardback as the description states! These are a full set of SOFT cover books. The books are still fine, in great shape, but this is very deceptive marketing!

According to the Walmart description I was expecting seven (7) HARDCOVER books. What I got was a set of PAPERBACK books. I was going to return them, but it'd be too much trouble. Very disappointing...

FALSE ADVERTISING

Harry Potter Books 1-7 Special Edition Boxed Set centered front-facing view of seven illustrated hardcover volumes in a matching slipcase, numbered spines 1–7 with decorative title lettering, textured cloth covers and visible gilt page edges on a plain white background; often used as a display set for home libraries.
