Coming home to pet messes is not how anyone likes to unwind after a long day, which is why we set out to create the ultimate dog pad. The Hartz Home Protection line of training pads make clean-up simpler, pad replacement and disposal easy, and safeguard flooring from unpleasant accidents. Excellent for dogs living in homes with limited access to the outdoors, senior pups with restricted movement, puppies in training or sick dogs, Home Protection has you covered at every corner. Our absorption experts analyzed urine distribution and designed a pad with 6 layers, containing our Flash-Dry® technology which creates a smaller urine spot and allows for multiple uses per pad. When nature calls, Home Protection instantly turns urine into gel to reduce tracking and make clean up a breeze. A water-proof plastic backing and borders ensure our pads won’t leak or spread. The special odor eliminating capability within all our lavender scented dog pads traps and neutralizes stinky smells left behind, turning eww to phew. -Won’t Leak: Each pee pad is created with unique Flash-Dry Technology, which instantly turns liquid into GEL to lock in moisture and prevent messy leaks and unpleasant odors. -Odor Eliminating Lavender Scent: The special odor eliminating capability traps and neutralizes odor with a lavender scent, rather than mask those stinky smells left behind. -Superior Absorption: Our 6-layer construction dog pad creates a smaller urine spot, allowing your dog or multiple dogs to find fresh, clean spots for multiple uses per puppy pad. -Leak Proof Protection to Keep Your Home Clean: Each pad features a plastic backing and border to protect all floor types by blocking leaks. -Perfect For: Potty training, puppy training, senior or sick dogs, extended indoor stays, and use during travel.

With the cold weather and horrible snow on the east coast, I had to buy these because my dog was just too cold going outside. These have worked miracles. These were a temporary solution because of the bad weather we've had, but they worked wonders.

Simple Solution

walmart.com

This is the best absorbent pad for a cat who sometimes uses the litter box and sometimes uses a pad.

Kitty loves it

these are really absorbent, and hide urine odors well. Just wish they came a little bigger.

VERY absorbent for their size.

My Yorkie/Poo (Chloe) is so finicky that she will not potty on any other pee pad...she will sniff it and if it doesn't meet her approval, Princess Chloe will rip it apart!! lol Chloe is a House Puppy and will not potty outside, because I taught her to use pee pads. So happy I discovered the Lavender Scent pads. Thank You, Hartz!!

My Finicky Chloe!!

Highly recommended for the little dogs too. Any dog. They trap the pee in and you ( Do not ) smell it. Worth the money. I have a 16 year old pug-terrier. She kinda misses the other ones. It absorbs at least 3X more than the other brand. I use Walmart brand and they work well. I like the lavender smells with this brand and like I said the absorption.

Three x the absorption 2 me!

The puppy pads my two dogs will use and it holds up to everything it says it will do they hold in the liquid and the smell of them are wonderful I don't like lavender but these are not overwhelming and smell great and I actually like the smell of them it's a light fragrance that's clean and fresh we have used many other brands of puppy pads and our older dogs won't use them and when they did pee pee would run all over the floor and stay in the pads I tell everyone who has older dogs like ours about how great these are

The only puppy pads that hold up

My dog just had six puppies and I had always just used newspaper to papertrain
But the newspaper wasn't absorbant. So I decided to try the Hartz puppy pad.
I was very happy with them. They are super absorbant and the puppies did an excellent job using it. I also loved the fragrance the pad has. I've used another
brand that wasn't as large as this one and it didn't have the fragrance but cost the
same.

Puppy Pad

I love these when they work. Unfortunately, many times the urine goes under the side of the pad and floor underneath is all wet. Zero stars when that happens. 5 stars when it doesn't.

Very mixed review

Tried them again to get a better idea of what the overall quality is. Unfortunately, it ended up with the same results as the last time. I have 2 small fur babies (under 15%23 ea.) I bought the XL size this time, as my Chiweenie drinks a lot of h20 and to be fair, can definitely leave a larger "piddle puddle" than most dogs her size.I had high hopes that the XL would be able to absorb her piddles, before they run off the pad and onto my wood floors. I don't leave the pads out for a long time, just to be clear, and they will have 1-3 piddles on them before I change it,. They ended up being the same messy situation as before. Tempura (my Chiweenie) tends to squat smack dab in the center of any given potty pads, and the absorption of these (even the XLs) didn't cut it and they didn't contain/absorb the urine quickly/efficiently enough to prevent it from running off the side and then of course underneath the pad and onto my wood floors. Kind of a bummer. They do smell nice, and I have to say that if I only had one of my old fur babies, they would be usable for Ruby Tuesday's "piddle puddles", as they tend to be a fraction of her sister's.
In summary: if you have a smaller dog and they don't have urinate large quantities, they might do the job. I'm really unsure about how they'd hold up to a larger sized dog, which is pretty much what they are advertised for...but, as for me and my little old ladies...they're not working.

These are so thin and made so cheap. Plus they dont really mask any smell. they smell like lavender sure but they dont help with pee/poop odors. They also say XL but they are so small..smaller than the other brands I get for "XL"

cheap and thin
