Beautiful set it is larger than you would imagine but extremely nice, it is definitely a statement piece chess set, and easy to see

This chess set is large but very nice. Drawers on each side store pieces securely in individual spots of foam drawer liner. The pieces are carved wood and nice sizes for playing. Assuming you have enough room to store the set, I highly recommend. Its a little pricey but nice. 
My only disappointment was the box was severely damaged in shipping, so it doesn't present well for a gift. The packing inside the box seemed enough to protect the set from significant damage.

Item is okay. A bit expensive considering that the adhesive on the bottom of the pawns keep coming off

Ok as a starter kit

The velvet on the bottom of some pieces is already coming off and the velvet  is not centred on some of the pieces
therefore they don't slide nicely on the board.  The craftsmanship of the pieces lack.  The drawers are nice but unfortunately where you place the pieces in the drawer is already lifting.  For the price I'm a bit disappointed with the quality. The size of the board is good.

The chess and checkers pieces were ok the case was low quality woodwork for the$100 I'll keep it anyway
