Good price for a trap that works. Caught the ground hog under our granddaughters mobile home in 3 days. Easy to set. Just set it and throw bait in. We closed at night so we didn't catch a skunk. Opened every morning and closed at sundown.

Great trap! This is a great animal trap! Glad that we purchased it. Would love to get another one!!

Two young squirrels have been rehomed since I received this trap yesterday -- and two more will soon follow!  I have used Havahart traps in the past to remove various rodents from our property, and I have really appreciated the quality of construction, ease of use, and how effectively they work.  This version, with the adjustable trip weight is especially nice in that we can lighten the load to the point of capturing even small prey like chipmunks.  Quite happy with the product and its value!

No assembly required. East release and catch.

Disappointed upon first inspection. Lighter grade metal than older model may have been twisted during transit as trap door wouldn't fully close and secure- the whole purpose of the trap! Actuator arms too long so trip plate flush with the floor and wouldn't activate. Undecided if I'll return or try to live with it.

Very Disappointed!

This trap is so long. Like if you have freakishly long arms, double it. That wouldn't be a problem except for baiting it-there's no back opening so you have to bait from the front. You have to lay on the ground, put in the bait, then poke it to the back with a stick. While you're on the ground doing that you push it over the trigger plate so it's closing on you. (Oh yeah, there's no way to lock it open.) Then if you catch what you're trying to, you can't open it with the “convenient” handle because the animal is sitting on the trigger plate so you have you push the door in and somehow hold it while you try to dump the animal out. It works, but it's the worst trap in terms of setting it.

Nice Idea, Horrible Trap to Set

Caught the first groundhog in it the other day.  Never saw it though because it was able to get out of the door by forcing the side of the cage and bending the trap door.  Groundhog hair all over and most of the bait gone.  But the chuck was too.  This trap gets one more chance and then back it goes.
