The Havahart Large 2-Door Animal Trap was designed by professionals with the humane treatment and the safety of animals at the forefront of the design. This sturdy and efficient trap features two spring-loaded doors to ensure safe, quick, and easy catches. This trap is best suited to trap large animals such as raccoons, beavers, bobcats, small dogs, small foxes, groundhogs, nutria, opossums, cats, and armadillos. This trap is designed with rust-resistant, galvanized steel to ensure this trap is built to last. The mesh openings are small to help prevent escapes and stolen bait. The spring-loaded doors allow animals to enter from either end and increase the chances of capturing more skittish animals who do not like to enter areas they cannot see completely through. I can't believe I took the annual onslaught of the hoard of Armadillo for several years. This is a well priced trap, so I took a chance . Caught two big Armadillos the first five nights I set the trap. No new assaults but the trap is still awaitin'. Creating a simple barrier to herd the boogers to the trap is highly effective for Armadillos.
The two door trap requires a little practice but its a one man job to set properly. The trap folds up to a very small package which is a benefit if your storage is limited.
No assembly required and is great for a "first timer".

This is your trap! Trust me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cage is made of good quality metal and is fairly heavy.  The trap should catch larger animals without a problem.  However, the trap doors do not touch the sides on one side of the cage (both doors) leaving a gape of 1.5 to 2 inches.  If a smaller animal gets trapped such as a squirrel or small rabbit, they would easily escape.  That may be good if you don't want to have to release those types of animals.

Heavy duty trap for large animals.

very cheaply made i had one years ago the metal was alot thicker this one is very thin metal the springs are strong like they should be but with the metal being so thin it causes the doors to twist. not good. i would've paid more for quality
