Trap excellent; however, was not legal for trapping feral cats within county, have  ordered larger trap as specified by Animal Control

Perfect size for the wild rabbits in my back yard. Easy to move and set the trap. The trigger plate is sensitive enough for a small rabbit to trip it and the door locks closed and the animal cannot get out. It is a little tricky to release the animal and it is a two handed operation but not a big issue.

Well built and sturdy.

I've caught and relocated  3 rabbits in the last 24 hours soil ow it works.

No more rabbits...

Be sure you know how to release before you bait.  Works well.

I've owned these traps for years and they are the best on the market for small rodents including squirrels and skunks.  As of 5/15/21, the pricing is the lowest available

Live Animal Traps

The trap looks great but once we received the trap, the rabbit we were planning to catch somehow have found their way out. We ended up returning the trap.

The door to the cage is a bit stiff.  trap door works but there are times where it might not work because the door won't close quickly when pressed (too tight).  

I haven't yet caught the rabbit that this was intended.  apparently, animals won't just hop on in to eat the goodies that awaits them inside this steel coffin.  They just walk around the trap and try to pull out the food instead of going right in.  

Nothing wrong with the trap except the note above.  I think it should do what I want it to, but, so far no bunny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had a determined opossum in our back yard. We put out the animal cage with bait in it last night, this morning there he was sitting waiting to be let out. My neighbor took it to let it loose out by the woods close to his job. This product did its job! I highly recommend it.

Rabbit trap

Despite the continued presence of squirrels in the attic and their eating the bait, the trap has not made a catch since it was installed about 3 weeks ago.  It got two stars because all of the mechanics look good, and it seems to work in theory.  We will continue to bait this trap and see if it can find a squirrel to trigger the trap.

Animal (Squirrel) trap

This trap will catch animals but there is no way to safely release the animals. You have to put your hand into the opening to open the door. This is too bad because Havahart is usually a quality product but this is quite a design flaw.
