Make your climbs quieter, lighter, and more secure with the Hawk Helium Aluminum Climbing Sticks — built for hunters who rely on mobility and stealth in the field. Each 20-inch stick is crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum and weighs just 2.5 pounds, making them a practical option for long hikes into remote locations or deep public-land setups. Despite their lightweight construction, they provide solid stability underfoot for confident ascents.

The dual-sided steps feature raised ends and boot-gripping grooves to help prevent slipping, even in wet, muddy, or uneven conditions. Tree Digger Teeth at the base of each stick bite firmly into bark, helping create a sound, stable climbing path. The Versa Button strap system ensures quiet, efficient attachment to the tree, while Silent Lock suction cups keep the sticks securely nested during transport to reduce noise and bulk. Each stick supports up to 300 pounds, making them well-suited for both saddle hunters and treestand users.

The Helium series is designed around the needs of modern mobile hunters. Every component is made with the goal of keeping your pack light, your setup fast, and your approach silent. Many Hawk products include intuitive attachment systems—such as snap pins, leveling posts, and fold-flat components—that work together to streamline setup and breakdown in the dark.

These climbing sticks pair seamlessly with other Hawk gear, including platforms, hang-on stands, and accessories, forming a cohesive system for run-and-gun hunting styles. Whether you’re positioning yourself in a hardwood funnel at sunrise or adjusting stand locations midday, Hawk equipment supports versatility and quiet movement.

Hunters across the country rely on Hawk for steady climbs and consistent performance in changing terrain. Choosing Helium climbing sticks means adding dependable, field-proven tools to your hunting kit—built to support real hunts, real weather, and real results.

Best way for trees on public land when u hike and need light and strong

walmart.com

I definitely like these 20in hawks! I decided to use one of them to one stick up the tree for saddle hunting! Haven't had any issues yet! If you don't know already, let me tell you, before you stack the sticks together you need to ream out the female piece of the suction cup or they will most likely brake or be hard to pull apart. Ream a little then check and repeat to make sure you get a good fit, and easy pull apart.

Great sticks, one caution on suction cups.

Do they attach to the tree? Sure. Do I feel secure in them. No. The quality is solid but the technology behind them isn't for me. At a minimum it feels like if they used a ratchet strap it would be a better system. I'll be going back to a quick stick ladder I think.

Not For Me

The sticks themselves are fine but the straps they come with are terrible. Some of the pictures show just a traditional strap. That's not the case. They have daisy chain straps. They're hard to use already but in the freezing cold or with gloves, forget it. They're good if you're willing to spend money to upgrade to the amsteel rope but at that point Just go with the hawk helium 2.0s instead.

Overall seem good. Consistency in strap's daisy chain hole location not great (tradeoff of mass production). Some hardware wasnt completely machined (hex screw heads not machined and unable to put together). Otherwise good. Wish they were lighter!

Incomplete hardware, but overall good product.

shop.hawkhunting.com

I bought these because I wanted to have more options of trees to climb than a climbing tree stand allowed. I got these after reading reviews about the stacking buttons breaking off hoping I could figure out a way to prevent it from happening to mine. The first time out none broke but the second time out several broke. Unfortunately I didn't figure out that there is a lip inside the hard cup that holds on to the button to keep the sticks together. After shaving off this lip, they came apart easily.
Hopefully, Hawk will replace the plastic buttons that broke...
IF ANYONE GETS THESE, SHAVE THE INSIDE LIP OFF THE CUP AND YOU WILL BE GOOD TO GO!
The sticks will not stay together without a bungee or strap holding them together, but you will have to anyway when the buttons break off. With the lip shaved off and unbroken buttons, the sticks are more stable when stacked than with broken buttons. I'm 6'1" 255# and these steps are stable for me. After snugging up the strap, you have to pull out and down on the bottom step of the stick to get it set in place before putting all your weight on it.

Good on most trees

The sticks themselves are great, bite the tree securely I like the step on both sides. Super lightweight and added Amsteel daisy chain for little more weight saving.

The NOT so good: The material that the travel buttons are made of need a major redesign. In the cold, they don't want to release and all 4 of them now are broken and don't stay together on their own anymore. I have lost all the advantages these should have givven because I now have to add more weight with bungee cords to keep them together. A simple material change will make the is sure homerun, I hope your listening hawk! I need more and am currently looking at the XOP ultra series. Fix the issue, it is well known.

Great sticks but the travel “suction cup” not.

I bought these sticks not to long ago and I put them together and stacked all of them and the very first time I went to use them all of the suction cups broke that holds them together

Good sticks but awful stacking design

The sticks themselves are fine, but the button connections like many others have posted about are terrible. All the male ends that go into the suction cups showed signs of stress with that fatigue look. To not take chances on breaking them, I used a dremel with the sanding disc to ream out the suction cups. Tested and work great with much easier release. First time out, popping the sticks apart, one male end broke. Sticks work great, but the suction cups need a new design.

Disappointed

2 broke first use and my son got wrecked. Don't plan on buying these. Unsafe.

Hawk Helium 4-Pack Aluminum Climbing Sticks, Tree Stand Hunting Gear, 20 Inch — four brown aircraft‑grade aluminum 20-inch climbing sticks front-facing and stacked; dual-sided 10‑inch steps with boot‑gripping grooves and raised ends, Tree Digger Teeth at bases, fold-flat step hinges with Silent Lock cups and Versa Button strap anchors visible, compact nested carry shown against a neutral background; often used to stage quiet treestand approaches for mobile hunters.
