[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great light, packaged well, was a breeze to put together, and an amazing value! My only wish is that it had a dimmer switch on the cord, but I may eventually bring it to a lighting shop and have one put on. I imagine it would be cheap to do. The seeded glass is beautiful, and I'm in the process of finding the right vintage Edison bulb for it. Thanks!

Great Find!

ordered 2 and both were shattered on arrival

The lamp arrived damaged so I could not put it together. Very disappointed.

Disappointed

The pictures of this lamp show that there is a switch near the glass housing that you use to turn this floor lamp on. THERE IS NO SUCH SWITCH. Instead, you get to use an infuriatingly "this will be hard to find in the dark and may break when you press on it for years with your foot" switch. So no -- you don't get "both" -- you get NO switch at the top of the lamp. You are forced to use a flimsy plastic step-on-it-until-it-one-day-breaks device. 

There is no way I will be keeping this lamp. Not only will that floor "switch" (if you can even call it that) one day break due to cheap, flimsy plastic it's made out of, but it is a tripping hazard. I have to keep this cord out in a "foot accessible place" which means it amounts to a future broken neck as kids or pets catch it while walking through, and the entire lamp comes crashing down on their heads. No thank you. 

OH -- and I almost forgot, something that I was "thrilled" to see came with the packaging BUT WAS NOT REPORTED HERE -- a PROPOSITION 65 WARNING. Yes. Although it was not disclosed here, it came with the box. SHAME on you, "Hudson
