No tools required (uses an included allen wrench) fast simple assembly. I bought this because I owned one before and it was great and lasted 5 years before the gas cylinder gave out. I replaced it with a more expensive over stuffed accented office chair, which I kept for three months. This $100.00 chair is more comfortable than the big overstuffed chair it replaced that forced me to sit on my tailbone.The only negative is that the little round allen head covers don't stay in unless you glue them. My advice: Buy it, it is a good deal, if you get it on sale it is a bigger win.

The chair was much easier to assemble than I thought. After about three days, two of the plugs that are designed to cover the screws in the left arm rest began falling out. I will probably have to glue them in because now they fall out at least once per day.
The chair now squeaks when you first sit in it, but remains pretty quiet while you remain seated. I thought at first the chair was just excited to see me.

Good chair for a non professional

It says it's rated for 500 pounds... so at 200 lbs this chair should last me 2 1/2 times a normal chair. It does seem to be a strong, solid chair, and the fabric is thick and feels tough, but it's always the hydraulic lift mechanism that goes out first, and it's just like all the others I've bought so I'm skeptical. I've put together dozens of chairs over the years, once twenty in a day, but this one was the hardest ever. I started by reading the directions and then disregarding them... that was my first mistake. I was working alone and I couldn't force the back of the chair into place to get both the arm screws and the seat screws in. So I took it apart and started again in the order they specified, and it was just as hard.  One of the most time-consuming parts is getting the long, threaded screws in using the little Allen-wrench that comes with it. Luckily I remembered a previous assembly I did on something using the same Allen-wrench.  I had cut the bend off of one off so I could chuck it into an electric screw gun and I used it, saving a lot of time. All in all, it seems like a good chair, but get some help assembling it.

A Good Solid Chair

My last chair of over 5 years finally broke and was tilted when you sit down. So with my budget I chose this chair. Not a bad price for it, the instructions are Pictures. Not to hard to follow, however the holes don't line up exactly, they were a bit off. At least the box came with an Allen Wrench to help assemble the chair. After an hour of re checking the picture instruction sheet, I finally completed my chair. Would of been nice if there was a Link in the instructions to watch a video. Just to make sure.

not the best but not the worst

I purchased this chair for my home office. So far, so good! I only wish that the arms were adjustable but other than that it works perfectly and is comfortable with the high back for my long work days. Very easy to assemble as well. Took me less than 30 mins.

This is a decent chair and I would recommend it.

Nice looking exec chair with good leg support from sear; however, chair lacks back support.

I am not a large man and the bottom seat padding is not sufficiently thick enough for me, as it squashes flat under my weight. The leather is very wrinkled and stiff and causes pressure points, especially in the back. The head rest extends too far down and contacts the top of my shoulders. I plan on returning this product.

poorly designed

Not the comfy chair I had hoped for.  The arms are too low and not well padded.  The seat is also lacking padding.  Not sure where the leather is, maybe in the headrest but the chair itself feels like cheap vinyl.  I don't expect this chair to last very long.  I would not recommend this chair.

This chair is nice when it comes to aesthetics -- very soft, black, and classy.  However, it offers no back support whatsoever, especially if you're looking to maintain correct, upright posture.  Plus, the little round covers that you place over the screws all popped off every time I simply sat in the chair.  So now, I don't sit in it at all, and am still shopping for a sturdy chair with better back support.

Well, it is a chair...

Good at first but after 3 months of use the 'leather' already shows much signs of wear. On the right arm rest where my elbow rests the 'leather' is already broken.
