This compressor is absolutely great! Last two compressors wouldn't keep up then blow thermo breaker. That gets old! I run two nail guns framing no problem with this one. Also kept up with two roof nailers . It's also lighter than any other compressor I've had . For the price in comparison about $70 cheaper than others I was looking at at the time of purchasing. I can't find anything bad to say about this unit at all

Excellent Reliability

I am scaling back my shop, so I need a smaller air compressor. I selected this one, I am replacing my old 5 hp compressor with this one. After using this compressor for a month
I can tell you, it has good recovery, with 2 tanks plenty of reserve air. Also good construction, should give many years of service.

PERFECT COMPRESSOR FOR MY NEEDS

I have used this compressor only once, but it is not bulky which makes it easy to carry. The instruction manual is well written and easy to understand. It was also convenient that it came with enough oil for the initial startup which meant no extra trip to a store. I can't judge durability and performance on one use, therefore I choose the middle rating.

Used once so far.

I had an Hitachi compressor for 20 years and had no problems with it until it wasn't worth fixing. I chose the same brand based on the reliability of my old compressor. I'm satisfied so far with my purchase. I don't like the fact that it's made in China, where as my old one was made in Italy, it shows. It's lighter in weight and I appreciate that. I frame mostly, sometimes with two guns running. It seems take more time to refill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems to be a well made compressor.  It is slightly heavy and awkward to truly be considered portable but it would fill that niche.  I found the 4 gallon tank to be a bit limiting so I sistered another tank through a compressed air manifold.  Hooked up I've got plenty of volume and disconnected I still have a portable compressor.

I do not Like at all the Oil dip stick - Very hard 
to see the oil level , when you pull the plastic dipstick up it has to be tilted to miss another compressor Part . looks like a one size fits all Dip stick - Very poor design in my opinion!

Good Compressor

I'm giving it three stars so far. My main complaint is determining the amount of oil the compressor holds. The manual does not state anywhere the amount it should hold. Also, checking the oil level once it is added is hard too. Metabo what amount of oil does this compressor take?

Oil amount and level

Bought this to replace Porter Cable pancake unit in one of our out buildings. Went on reputation of brand name. Does not pump up or last as long as the PC unit. Really disappointed in it. Could pump up tractor tires in a reasonable amount of time with the PC. Takes forever with this one. Pretty much rated the same ane the Porter Cable was almost half the price. I would not buy this one again and would not recommended it to anyone.

Replacement compressor

Fitting leak enough on a brand new unit it will never reach shut of pressure.
I need to take it apart and rebuild the air line connections to stop the leaks so it will build pressure to the shut off point.

Extremely heavy and awkward compared to my Senco unit that someone has stolen from my garage. Both unit were set up to do the same duty.
