I am very pleased with the bread maker. It made excellent bread and it is so easy. It is especially wonderful in that all one has to do is measure everything into one container (the bread pan) put it into the bread machine, press a few buttons, and go about planning the rest of the meal to be done in about 3 hours. When it's clean-up time, there is just one pan to wash, and it's done. The bread came out perfect for all of us who ate it. I love home-made bread and this met all my expectations without any work.

I've made bread all my life.  I think bread machine's work best for us who know what a ball of bread dough should look and feel like.  This machine is my third and hopefully last. Two friends have bought this machine on my recommendation.  The first loaf mixed and baked in this machine turned out great.  I have refused to shop and deal with the usual Walmart crowds for many years but I ordered this online and was satisfied by the process, delivery and this machine.

Great inexpensive bread machine

This is my 3rd bread machine and it does everything that the more expensive models do. Makes great bread. Ocassionally I have a hard time getting the kneading blade out to clean. The bread removes easily from the pan with no massive hole in the bottom from the blade being embedded in the bread. It's a little larger than I had anticipated but works well.

Excellent Bread Machine

Although I've only made loaves of white bread using the recipe in the book that came with it, I'm positive that ANYTHING made using this appliance will also turn out perfect - no matter where you get the recipe. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this bread maker. Enjoy!!

Wonderful

This bread maker is great. It bake's the bread really well and I love it cause you can bake other things besides bread. Hamilton Beach is a great product i had a bread maker before so I decided to get one again. I love it so yes I would recommend this product to anyone I rate it a 5 star

Hamilton Beach is a great product

So far I am very pleased with this bread maker. It seems to have the kneading paddle stick every time! And even after soaking it this last time, I had to have my husband pull it out so I could finish washing it! The cost of this breadmaker makes up for this though! We'll see how long it lasts!

Was very happy when I received it.  First batch of bread   'okay',  second had somehow reversed to an express, I guess.  Hard on the outside, completely undone on the inside.  Now that I have said that,   let me explain.   I am 85, have used bread machines for about 40 years.  This one is gorgeous, can do everything but talk, but is just too intelligent for me.  Too many buttons, too many choices, not blaming the machine, I love it, but I just need something simpler, I guess.

On the very first loaf of bread, following the recipe exactly as printed in booklet; the unit started to make grinding noises, took out the dough, unplugged unit, turned unit on and put dough back in, paddles started to move dough, then quit, started grinding noises again, and took out the dough again, and noticed it looked like the gears were stripped because nothing was turning when unit was on. This was not our first time using bread machines either, we ha done that lasted for a few years prior to this purchase. The nice thing about this purchase was Walmart refunded our money without any problems.

poor performance

I bought this item for my wife for her Birthday.  She was very excited to get it as she has always wanted one.  The first time she used it, it walked off the counter and smashed on the floor!    At first we didn't have a clue what happened, as we were in the next room at that time.  But we looked back at our security cam and saw the whole thing.  As it started kneading the bread, it began to slowly turn to the side and then just wiggled back and forth till it dropped off the edge of the counter.  So disappointing.  If you buy one, please anchor it somehow cause it is going to travel.

Mine leapt to it's death and committed suicide .

I'm not very happy with it. I've only used the whole wheat setting using my normal half whole grain/half white recipe that I've used on a succession of machines. The knead and rise times vary considerably from my old one, the last rise time is fully 20 min shorter. And for some reason, the crust selector is not available on several settings, including whole wheat. I was able to get an acceptable loaf the last time only by a lot of manipulation on my part, extra yeast, restarting for a longer first kneading, and unplugging it for a few minutes several times to extend the last rise. The capacitor will hold the settings for a while, maybe ten min, but I haven't pushed it to see how long. I will try the "French" setting next time, the times seem to be closer to the whole wheat setting on my old machine. The temps may be different (that French bread crustiness) so I don't know how it will work yet. I was almost disappointed enough to order another brand, but I'll continue to fiddle with it hoping I can get it to work with my recipe.
That said, I can't recommend Walmart's 1-800 people highly enough. After two days of it sitting on a neighbor's back porch, with neither Fedex or the neighbor calling me, I called to cancel and reorder, Fedex had been showing it "delivered" for two days. Later that day the neighbor called, and I had to call Walmart back. In most cases with other companies I would have been told "Sorry, we can't stop the order" or something. But the Walmart phone folks took care of it quickly, no hassle at all on my end, thanks!
