There are pros and cons to this humidifier.  There is a blue light that that is on when the unit is turned on.  You cannot turn this off. It is so bright it lights up the entire room.  This is great if you need a night light, but I don't.  I have three layers of painter's tape covering the blue light and it still shines through.  I am thinking of cutting up a washcloth and placing it over the blue light.  On low, the mist output is quiet.  It gets louder at the second setting and the bubbling is even louder on the third.  If you are sensitive to light and sound when you sleep, this may not be the humidifier for you.  On the other hand, the mist output is great.  The humidifier is low profile, but wide.  I cannot comment on the colors you can choose for the base as I turn them off.  I will probably keep it as I got it for free.  Not incentivized, but with store coupons.  It would be perfect if not for the blue light.  It's a little loud, too, and so I only use the high setting when I'm awake.

Bought today. Followed instructions to prep and fill. Turned it on and in less than 30 minutes it stopped working. Now it will not turn on.
