This Kitchen Island is the perfect size for my kitchen.  Color matched my existing kitchen cabinets perfectly.  Distressed look is not as bad as I'd read in previous comments.  It took a while to assemble, but it was not difficult at all.  Step by step instructions were easy to follow; however, the instructions seemed to "fall off" towards the end--you must rely on the pictures to finish assembly.  Very satisfied with the purchase.

The house was made in the early 1900s so this really helped. One part was damaged and customer service of the phone number on the box was professional and acted right away to replace the part. Space is limited and added the extention, but will stay down unless needed for a specific task. It is possible to not attach this and it would still look great.

both the mrs and i love it after putting it together. looks great in our kitchen and its very sturdy. there's a lot of pieces but i felt it was easy to put together.

Very well made, very nice lkg. Much more than I expected it to be. Very happy with this product. Only disappointment was the assembly number stickers that ended up on the outside when assembly and there were no plugs to fill in the screw holes that show on the bottom ofthe front

Much more than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Island is beautiful.  I had  some pieces replaced very rapidly, within a day of requesting them. It took only a few hours to put it together although I need two other people to left the top and put it in place. But all in all I am very satisfied, Note I'm a 74 year old female. The chairs  are very flimsy and I will not be using them afraid they are unsafe.

I'm giving 4 stairs because are short and unstable

Elegant piece of furniture and a welcoming addition to our kitchen.   Must have patents when putting it together.

When this island arrived it was in many boxes and took about six hours to put together, not counting the repairs.  One corner was smashed and splintered, and we don't know if it was sent that way from WalMart or if the delivery driver did it. He was very irritated about delivering it, so it could have been him. Anyway, rather than see me disappointed when I got home that evening with a product we had to ship back, he got out his wood glue and wood clamps and fixed the messed up corner. Now that it's in the kitchen and I've used it for one week, the caulking around the marble inlay is coming out in little chunks. I've only used soapy water to clean it, just like the directions say to use, so sometime in the near future we will be re-seating the marble with new caulk.  So I would recommend this product with reservations. First, do you want to spend the better part of the day putting it together? Secondly, do you mind re-caulking the marble in a few weeks? It looks beautiful, it's functional for what I need it for, but I probably wouldn't have bought  it had I known these things ahead of time.

Looks great,, has several flaws

The top of this island is untreated. Everything sticks including dirt to what ever paint was used . I have to constantly Brillo the surface to make it look clean and dirt free. My sons sweatshirt actually sticks to it and the fuzz attaches to the paint. I'm going to have to get a sealer or something. It looks old and not because of the distressed look of it but because it does not hold up as a kitchen table at all.   I am extremely disappointed because I just moved from a house to my apartment and was looking forward to a well made island in my kitchen for multiple uses .

I ordered the set they sent the stand with no stool but changed me the sat price.
As i put it together its very weak wood there was no long screws so the process has stoped
