Ive only had my purifier for a little over a week, and so far I really like it. Its as simple as installing the filter and plugging it in. I could tell a difference shortly after using it. I suffer with seasonal allergies and since using it I dont seem to be as stuffy every morning. It says to change the air filter every 4 months, but I plan on changing mine every 2-3 at most but thats a personal preference. Replacement air filters are reasonably priced. The only complaint Ive seen some people say is about the sound. It does have a constant hum sound, kinda like a fan. If your someone that falls asleep with a fan on at night or dont mind slight background noise while you sleep then this might be for you.

This air purifier by Honeywell is a compact unit.  The device fits perfectly on my dresser allowing 6 or more inches for good circulation.  The air purifier is lightweight and the noise level is less than a fan.  I use this to clear the air about three times a day, ans am noticing an improvement in air quality.  I highly recommend this Honeywell air purifier.

This is awesome it has already caught so much nasty stuff from our home absolutely love it great buy! Plan on buying a couple more. I have an asthmatic kid and it's help tremendously!

Amazing should buy this!

Works pretty good! All of my neighbors (above, below, all sides) smoke every cigarette they can get their hands on in a five mile radius. The (smoke-free) building I live in stinks like an old, nasty ashtray that hasn't been cleaned since 1984. I tried covering it up with air fresheners and sprays and candles, but it just wasn't cutting it. And none of that actually does anything to mitigate the second-hand smoke coming through. 

Also, I have a cat and essential oils are dangerous to them. She does get pretty lethargic around them, and it worries me. But also if she's this sensitive to essential oils she is probably more sensitive to the second hand smoke. 

Anyway I got two air purifiers for my shoebox apartment and they work pretty well. I still get a whiff of smoke coming through the walls but there's only so much you can do. And my cat is healthier without the fumes from sprays and oils.

Helpful against smoking neighbors

Little loud on highest setting (has low, medium and high) but not a huge issue for me as its drown out by my AC and other fan in my room. However got this because I live with two cats who are in my room 95% of the day and it being carpeted makes it a sponge for dust and cat hair. In the few days I've had it already sleeping better and waking up more refreshed instead of waking up with sinus congestion almost daily. Perfect for a room that needs extra purification, using it along with some Snake plants and its perfection. Highly recommended.

My current cnc room set up isn't the  best so the lasers can cause some smoke to backflow from the exhaust. The purifier is AWESOME. Would highly recommend.

I read reviews about the noise, but we run a fan at night so I didn't notice. Turned the fan off, still didn't bother me. Definitely helped with our allergies!

This air purifier seems well-built and it doesn't take up a ton of space. However, my husband and I bought it primarily to be a noise machine and it runs far too quietly for that. We've only had it for a short amount of time, so I can't speak to how well it filters the air. But I wouldn't recommend it as a noise machine. On a side note, I think I remember other reviews mentioning a bad/chemical smell, when the machine runs but I haven't noticed any bad/unusual smells.

Not a noisy air filter

This is nothing more than a cheap plastic fan in a box with a filter. It is loud and way over priced. This thing should be $23 not $53. The filters are $18. Totally not worth it. I do not recommend. It does clean the air a little but it's the price for what you get part that I don't like. It stinks when you first run it so you need to run it for awhile before cheap plastic smell goes away. It also has a bright green LED light that shines up the wall and onto the ceiling at night. I had to put a piece of black electrical tape over it to sleep. Find a better unit.

Too loud. Not worth the money.

It is super quiet even on the 3rd setting, mostly sounds like a fan. I haven't really noticed a difference so I think it isn't working for my needs.  It's in my son bedroom. He has pretty bad allergies to everything especially cats and dust . Previous tenants had cats the smell is annoying. I've tried everything I can think off to clean away the smell wiped every surface and shampooed the only rug which is on the stairs. 
  It's not a big machine at all and doesn't take up much room if any noticeable.  There aren't any flashing lights or anything besides the filter light which isn't anything really.  I don't think the filter does much, if there's a smell it goes right through and pushes it back out through the filter.
