This purifier puts to shame one I had previously...the air quality difference is simply amazing..my space is closer to 400 sq ft and this unit handles it quite well... the only problem I have had is checking to make sure it is running as it is extremely quiet.For the 1st week when I passed by I either put my hand in air flow or or looked for lights.

I am always trying to find an air purifier that does NOT require purchasing expensive filters. I love the Ionic Pro, but they are quite costly.

This unit is relatively quiet and you can wash the filter. I am very happy with it and when I need another, I will definitely purchase the Honeywell HD-120-Q Tower HEPAQuiet Air Filter.

Great product

We needed an air filter system for the office/studio/bird room.  The two pet birds we've had for 22 years can produce a lot of "dander" and dust that seemed to fill the room.  With recent onset of severe allergies we had to do something . I researched  and compared consumer reviews and in the end decided on the Honeywell QuietClean Tower Air Ourifier with permanent filter.  I especially liked the fact that it has the permanent filter.  We had an older unit by another manufacturer and the unit still works but they changed the style some years back and the nerer filters won't fit!  We should not have that problem with the new Hineywell.

Shipment from Walmart.com arrived within a week and operating the unity was as simple as turning on the switch.  It also has the ocellating feature.  It is a large unit but not too obtrusive.  Within a few hours at most we immediately noticed a difference in the air quality. It was definitely cleaner.  Even though we clean the room and aviary on a regular basis the dust and dander particles from the birds would be airborne and could be seen in bright light.  Now, with the Honeywell air purifier I don't see it!  The unit runs very quiet, another big plus.  We are planning to get a second one for our large den area where we keep the cat.  She's been with us for 9 years so we are hoping the air purifier will work as well with cat dander.

Noticeable Difference

I really like the purifier.  It is quiet and efficient.  Seems to be taking care of the problem of being asthmatic.  The filters are washable which is really nice.
I wanted to buy extra filters and am unable to find the white filters anywhere so far.

Honeywell QuietClean Tower Air Purifier HFD-120-Q

Wow, this product exceeded my expectations! It is "whisper" quiet! I have never had an air purifier that was so quiet. It is a bit larger than my previous ones, but the design and color is very complimentary to the house. What I didn't catch was that is it an oscillating unit, meaning that you can turn the unit on to slowly rotate back and forth. I do believe that this feature really helps to clean the air more quickly. Usually with air purifiers, the instructions state that you won't notice a difference for 24 hours. But with this unit, we noticed a change in the air within a few hours. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. In fact, I may order another one for the basement. I absolutely LOVE the fact that this air purifier comes with washable filters!!!

Whisper quiet air purifier with washable filters!

My mom is a heavy smoker, and she is not able to do the normal dusting and vacuuming that she use to do. This air purifier makes a big difference and is very easy to use. The best part is that you can wash out the filters. Thanks again Walmart & Honeywell.

Better Than Others

I bought this a few months ago. I didn't verify the measurements so I was surprised to see such a big machine! It is at least 3 feet high, but it is rather slim. It is about 6 inches wide, so it easily disappears into a corner. It does work because I can smell the difference, but if you are a smoker and are trying to rid the room of second hand smoke or the smell of, this purifier is not right for you.

Needed an air purifier.

Similar to other reviews, I agree that this product emitted a chemical smell. This was a gift for my mom who has allergy issues and being that the ionizer gives off a bad smell made it totally worthless. I opted for a different purifier that did not have the ionizer (though you have to replace filters every 3 months) and my mom has been happy within hours!

Exchanged

This unit did a wonderful job of cleaning the air but the ionizing process of the units operation produced a crackling noise like a static electricity discharge every few seconds, quite loud and quite annoying! This function is always on and can't be turned off when using the unit.
I unplugged the unit and took the filters out and replaced them thinking that would solve the problem IT DID NOT !
I purchased a unit that does not use ionization processes to clean the air, just filtration. That's the beauty of Walmart.com so many great choices!

Product Returned Made crackling noises!

It is not quiet at all. I knew I should have gone to the store. Some things you just should not ship. The fan is rattling. I did not know how to return it. This is the 3rd one I have purchased. The other two were fine. I would recommend the product, just do not ship it.
