It's very silent and low-maintenance since the warming function keeps it clean longer. It has significantly improved my sleep and skin quality. Highly recommended!

Very good purchase

I have had it for a month. It works on the low setting quietly and efficiently just as I expected. I have not set it on the high except for ensuring that function works. It needs frequent cleaning and that is a simple exercise.

It was good item for the price payed, I heard from my brother and I bought it for my mom.

Works well.  Good value: Nice price, easy to operate, maintain and no white residue on the furniture.  One pet peeve I have is that the chord position is backward.  You want the steam vent away from the wall, yet the electrical chord is placed on that side of the appliance making that proper positioning very awkward.  Didn't think that through very well.  Hence 4/5.

Great value with 1 design flaw

Works well.  No problems. It takes a while for the water to humidify which is good.

This is a disappointing unit.  After one week it stopped working.  The manual says to clean weekly.  I discovered that there was so much of a scale build-up on the heating element after 6 days that it just stopped.  So... 3 cups of vinegar to clean (every week!!!)!  Compare this to a vaporizer that I purchased almost 50 years ago and it still works... without ever having cleaned it!  The difference, perhaps, is that the heating element in this older unit is housed inside a plastic casing which is attached to the inside of the lid that sits on top of the unit.  So, the encased element points down into the water.  And there is no way to access the element to clean it....that's the way it was designed.  So much for modern technology.

Honeywell HWM440WC disappoints

The humidifier is too noisy and seriously affects my sleep at night when I put it in the bedroom. I want to exchange or return it, but I don't know if it can still be exchanged or returned after it has been used.

It's making a loud noise

We have only had it for a few weeks. It only works for a few minutes and then the red light comes on and it shuts off. How do I return it and get my money back?
