It supports 3H/2C heat pump systems or 2H/2C conventional systems, with geofencing and flexible programmability managed through the Honeywell Home App. It adds an extra stage of heating for both system types (with EIM) and controls humidification, dehumidification, and ventilation (with EIM). First, I was very surprised that Walmart carried this thermostat. Found it was priced similar to other online retailers, but was more comfortable ordering from Walmart knowing I would get the exact item listed. These are high quality thermostats and were fairly easy to set up.

I had some reservations about installing the thermostat myself. I took a picture of the wiring to the old thermostat. Then, taking my time, I wired the T10 Pro after turning the power off. Completed the wiring, turned the power back on, and did the initial setup.

For the most part, the T10+ is doing its job.
It is possible to set the cooling and heating temperatures to the same values. This sets off a conflict in the thermostat - heat comes on and swings temperature higher than setting, then cooling comes on and swings temperature lower than setting, etc. It's perpetual and soon the system starts to stink with the constant switching. Even old slider thermostats will not allow heating and cooling settings to be the same. Why does the T10???

I had a Rth9585wf before but it wasn't allowed to control my furnace on efficient mode with my -30°c heatpump as the only available setting is comfort mode, which is using the furnace too often, and costed me too much, making my heatpump useless. It was a nice thermostat, with all infos displayed on the screen saver (weather, humidity,...)
So I had to change to this more expensive but fully programmable thermostat to get my heatpump investment usefull. I absolutely see the difference on my day-to-day consumption, but a regret the way  display shows limited information. For that price, it should be more user friendly.
A firmware update is absolutely necessary to make this thermostat move from 2012 to 2025.

Could be better

This is an excellent thermostat with great features. The remote sensors really enhance the useability and value of this unit. The only downside I have realized is lag time it takes for the phone app to catch up to the actual device. It is not hard to install. I did it myself.

Good solid unit with great features.

Breakdown of runtime is just a total for the day and does not include stage or time of when it ran. Does not seem to run efficiently with a heat pump, and will switch to higher stages when not necessary.  Scheduled temperature changes of more than one degree too aggressively ramp up system instead of taking the necessary time to heat/cool, including the use of Aux heat when the outdoor temperature isn't cold enough to justify the use of Aux. There needs to be a setting to allow system to run longer at a lower stage and the outdoor temperature, indoor temperature, system, temperature difference, and "urgency" (max number of hours system will run prior to scheduled temperature) that would determine if stage 1, stage 2, or Aux is needed to get house to desired temperature by the desired time. Nest worked a lot better, and had a setting for meant for cost savings, balance, of max comfort while the T10+ Pro only seems to have a "comfort" mode.

Not as good as the 15 year old honeywell thermostat it replaced. This model does not read the outdoor temp and humidity at my house or the humidity inside my house.

Disappointed

The app does not have many features and does not work properly. 

There is no way to know what equipment is running from the app. Stage 1 heat, stage 2 heat? Who knows! Is the fan running? Again, who knows. 

Adjust the schedule? Nah, that doesn't work. Just fails to save every time. Permanent hold does though, so at least I was able to do that from the app. 

It is a beautiful thermostat and beautiful app as far as looks go, but when it doesn't work then it's just a dumb blon, err I mean, thermostat with lipstick on. 

These are easy features that are easily solved with your competitors product, which in all fairness is a better product altogether. Step up your Game, you'd think Honeywell means quality but in reality this offering leaves a lot to be desired.

Doesn't do the basics

Just had a new Lennox HVAC system installed. They removed my Sensi smart thermostat that I could control from my laptop and cell phone and replaced it with this.
Honeywell was too lazy to build a web interface for it.

Not Impressed

Will the App on my phone show me BOTH the temperature on the stat AND on the remote sensor?   If not  what good is the sensor?
