[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it's a good quality thermostat with good readable font, but the AUTO functionality can be a bit confusing to some especially when a second household member messes with it while trying to figure itvout for themselves.

Wanted a 750mV thermostat for controlling a propane fireplace with a larger display than the Honeywell RTH111B100 that I had.  This is much larger and shows the set temp and room temp at the same time, which the RTH111B100 only showed one or the other. I programmed it as a "radiant heat (boiler)," and it worked well. The display only then shows "heat." Setting it up as the default "Conventional forced heat" had "fan" showing on the display, which is not what I wanted. It would have been nicer to have just an on/off option. As it is to go from "heat" to "off" you must press "menu" then "mode" then "done." Pushing  any button causes the backlight to illuminate. In general I am pleased that it worked for the purpose I had.

I hired an electrician to wire this in, and I assumed I would be able to manage the input and start up on my own. I was wrong. I cannot get the thing to do much of anything. Currently, it is stuck on Celcius. I have scorned the instruction booklet and watched three YouTube videeoes. I hate this product

Horrible--User Unfriendly

Over about two years, I have gone through four of these thermostats.  They lock up and most of the time cooling setpoint sets itself to 50 degrees and no buttons can change the setpoint.  My system continues to cycle on & off, so I assume it is using my last setpoint of 73 degrees, but 50 degrees is displayed as the setpoint.  You cannot enter the MENU mode.  Indoor temperature still displays correctly, but the interface is dead.  Removing the batteries and reinstalling them does not reset the thermostat.

Short Lifespan.

Both thermostats worked great when first installed. First one stopped working (buttons would not work when pushed) figured it was just a lemon. Purchased the same one again and I he exact same thing has occurred. After a period of time (2months) the buttons are not responding again. Don't waste your money on this thermostat, it's garbage

Second one in 6 months - garbage

A piece of junk design, because for a simple function, like turning off the AC, you need to go to menu, toggle, again press the menu!!! What a junk design. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. And, if you are an elderly person, it's a nightmare.

Junk Design

The non-programmable thermostat needs to be initially programmed.  it worked for 2 weeks, then needed to be reprogrammed again......finding any instructions on line is impossible.  I don't recommend products that are not supported well by the manufacturer.

i dare you to try to set it up without instruction

I installed the junk last weekend.  I followed the instructions to the letter. It just stays on all the time. I dbl check the wires, re programmed it. It's not rocket science. I came and my house was 78 degrees and 27 outside. Ibgsve it the benefit of the doubt. Refo did everything again. It won't turn off. I need to pull it off the wall to get it to stop.

It is a piece of crap!
