Frequently disconnects and has connectivity issues.

Either reviews for the Wi-Fi and Z-Wave versions of the T6 Pro are mixed or people are really confused about the technology. If the latter, it is absolutely hilarious to read reviews about "not being able to connect to Wi-Fi". I've wasted 30 minutes reading them, but it was great entertainment.

This is a great thermostat. Inclusion is a snap and it is easily controlled by voice, UI, or automations when properly configured with your hub of choice. There are a ton of options and the reporting features are ample. I've ran two of them in my home for a couple of years now and not a single hiccup from either one. 

Platforms may vary in what features are available, so your experience may vary with it. The thing to do in a situation where you see key features missing/broken is to report it to the developers of your home automation system. 

If you aren't comfortable with basic wiring or do not know what type of HVAC unit you have, then I absolutely do not recommend that you try to install it. You can bake your compressor if improperly configured. I see reviews of people mentioning runaway temps and units constantly kicking on/off, and I just know that their problem is configuration. If you're going to install it yourself anyway: 1) Find out what type of HVAC system you have and understand how it cycles. 2) Read the installer guide and then read it again. 3) If you don't know, ask. 4) Read the installer guide one more time.

I'd also recommend running a C-Wire if you don't have one at your thermostat. One thing that Z-Wave is not great at is battery power management. The manual states that they have addressed this with sleep cycles, etc. but I still wouldn't trust it.

Excellent And Dependable >>Z-Wave<< Thermostat

As someone who actually knows what Z-Wave is (which cannot be said for many of the reviewers here, it seems), I think this is an amazing product. I have had two of these in service for a couple years now, controlled by an Aeotec Z-Wave modem and Home Assistant. I have automations setup to control them based on both presence (door lock/unlock) and schedule. I even have a "shower mode" that bumps the temperature for 15 minutes for a less agonizing shower exit. Not a single hiccup. I use the humidity sensors to control a wifi humidifier I have modified to run Tasmota, over MQTT. I do not currently have a common wire hooked up (baseboard heat only), but the battery life on these is excellent. I change them about once a year. Highly recommended.

Easily best-in-class thermostat

Like another reviewer, I'm confused as to why the reviews for this are about Wi-Fi ... this isn't a Wi-Fi thermostat!  Holds temperature very well, and manages all of the obscure settings you'd want.  Uniquely, it will run on batteries and not require you to re-wire to install it.

The scheduling and programmability natively is pretty normal for a 7-day setback, but of course that's not the point of this, like any good Z-Wave thermostat the intelligence is primarily based on the Z-Wave controller.

Great Z-Wave Thermostat

This is a z-wave thermostat. it's not wifi. And it's EXCELLENT. setup outside of home automation hub was easy, pairing to zwave was fast. I love that it can continue to run its schedule while connected to zwave, which reduces reliance on the home automation for heating and cooling, but can be enhanced by home automation (such as go into energy save based on geo, or for setting the alarm system to armed away). The circulation setting is also fantastic - keeps even temp in the house while saving 65% of FAN running time (and cost) over my previous programmable thermostat. 

Would 100% recommend for zwave networks. Don't buy this if you don't know what zwave is... it is NOT WIFI.

Excellent ** ZWAVE ** Thermostat

I've had the TH6320ZW2003 thermostat installed for over a year, and it has been everything I wanted in a Z-Wave thermostat.  Installation was as easy as a thermostat installation could be (don't attempt to install this or any other thermostat yourself if you don't have an understanding of exactly what kind of HVAC system you have and are comfortable with basic wiring).  Pairing with my Z-Wave controller was completely hassle free.  The thermostat and z-wave connection have both worked flawlessly for the year+ since.

This product must be connected to a Z-Wave controller (Home Assistant, Hubitat, Vera, SmartThings, etc) for remote control capabilities.  If you don't know what that is, you don't want this model.  It does not connect directly to Wi-Fi!

Pros:
* Z-Wave Plus (not just the older standard Z-Wave).  As a powered device (with C-Wire), it acts as repeater and is extremely responsive to commands.
* Supports an extremely diverse variety of HVAC systems.  Check the manual if you have a really specialized system, but this thermostat supports a lot of options.
* Reports sensor readings for both temperature and humidity.
* Very sleek and easy to read / operate physical design.

Cons (all conditional):
* Isn't able to directly control a humidifier.
* Temperature and humidity sensor readings are a bit course compared to most Z-Wave sensors (.5 degree Fahrenheit temperature and 1% humidity).

Overall: This is a fantastic and well designed device.

Everything you want from a Z-Wave Plus thermostat

This is a fantastic thermostat, like, nice enough that I'm compelled to write a review for a product that normally wouldn't be all that exciting.

The Z-Wave functionality is excellent. It exposes just about every aspect of the device's configuration and state, allowing remote control to a degree that I would not have expected. The touch interface is easy for everyone to use, is readable, doesn't look flashy or light up or otherwise do annoying stuff, and it's easy to install.

I'd highly recommend it for someone wanting to use Z-Wave to manage it, but it's pretty nice even in standalone mode. I think the only feature I wish it had would be an ability to write an external temperature from Z-Wave, so that virtual or aggregate sensors could be used.

Polished, professional, highly configurable

These things work great and pair fast on z-wave.  I don't understand why all the reviews on this product seem to be related to the w-fi version.  Either Honeywell is not careful about where they post reviews, or the customers have no idea this is NOT wi-fi!

Great Product

First, several other reviewers have mentioned this already, but it bears repeating: this thermostat DOES NOT connect directly to WiFi. It is a Z-Wave device and if you have a compatible Z-Wave hub/controller, it can be connected wirelessly through that for control and automation. If you don't have a Z-Wave network set up and aren't interested in setting one up, you should probably look at other thermostats (though this one still performs ably as a programmable thermostat even without wireless connectivity). With that stated, let's move on to my review.

I purchased this about 3 months ago and have had a very positive experience, with really only one or two minor criticisms.

Installation was a painless experience. The mounting and wiring assembly was easy and convenient to use. I didn't quite feel qualified to do the wiring myself, so asked a family friend familiar with HVAC installation to help. It took them approximately 15-20 minutes, and only took that long because the C-wire (while installed by the previous house owner) was not properly hooked up at the HVAC unit and needed some modification to provide power. After that, hooking up and going through setup was pretty quick. Because this thermostat supports a wide variety of HVAC systems, I'd recommend getting to know your system pretty well beforehand however so that you choose proper setup options, or have someone knowledgeable about HVAC systems help so that you do not accidentally cause any damage.

For the first few weeks, I did not yet have a Z-Wave network set up so used it as a standard programmable thermostat. Setting up a schedule was fairly quick and intuitive using the touch menu and worked well. The Circulate fan mode helps keep temperatures in our 3-level townhome even without driving up energy bills or causing humidity issues. The Adaptive Intelligent Recovery seems to do a good job of learning how long it takes to cool your house and adjusting accordingly.

After setting up my Z-Wave network, connecting the thermostat to my Z-wave USB controller and integrating it into my smart home hub was quick. The connection has been stable and responsive, though the distance between my thermostat and Z-Wave controller is only about 15-20 feet so I cannot comment on the quality of connection over longer distances.

Once connected, the thermostat was smart enough to retain my day/sleep schedule, but switched to away/home-based settings for daytime (rather than a scheduled "home" and "work" time). Using this, I've set up some location-based automations to trigger Home and Away modes, which work well. One small observation is that rather than a single Home/Away toggle, the thermostat seems to have separate Cool and Heat pre-sets for when Away. At least with my home hub, I needed to specify in my automation which of these to use rather than just toggle as Home/Away. Doing so wasn't too hard and just required some checks to see if the thermostat was in normal Cool or Heat mode when switching to Away and vice versa, but it did add a few steps to the automation compared to if there was a single Home/Away toggle. That said, having the option to specify which Away mode to use or not to use is a welcome level of flexibility.

Another automation I've set up is an auto-changeover to switch Heat or Cool modes based on indoor and/or outdoor temperature. The thermostat has a similar function built-in that will swap modes if the temperature exceeds your desired heat/cool set-points and this built-in function seemed to work well enough, but I preferred something that would use both indoor and outdoor temps in order to potentially save a bit of energy.

One small criticism is that there does not seem to be a direct way to use third-party wireless temperature sensors as an override to the built-in thermostat. I have several small temperature sensors throughout my house, and would love to use them either to use an aggregate temperature (average, for example) or to prioritize certain rooms based on presence or time of day. Unfortunately, this does not seem possible, at least not directly. However, one potential workaround is to design an automation that periodically adjusts the Temperature Offset setting based on your third-party sensors compared to the built-in sensor, though I have not yet had the time to set up and test this.

Had there been a direct way to override the built-in thermometer, I would be enthusiastically giving this thermostat 5 Stars (and if I find that I'm mistaken and this is something that can be done, I will update my review). But as it exists, for now I'll be rating it 4 Stars instead.

Despite this, I am overall quite happy with this thermostat and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend looking for a good Z-wave thermostat.

Good Z-Wave Thermostat

I am adding group of other reviewers  with the frustration that if you look at the website description, it provides a link to the honeywell home App. This is Z wave not Wifi Version and will not work with the honeywell home application on your phone. It does do a decent job if you connect to your security panel.

OK, this was installed (by an HVAC service).

It has been inconsistent.  First, we thought that perhaps the batteries weren't up-to-snuff....so put in new batteries.  Still...inconsistent (after turning off at night, it wouldn't registered any climb in temperature.  So the “Permanent Hold”  “Heat on”  “Fan Auto” wouldn't operate as it should.

Continued re-doing the same effort...with the same result.
