This was a life saver and t is amazing how must water it pulls out of the room.  I needed a way to keep humidity down so that I could use a compact Magic Chef Dryer in my condo without a dryer vent. This has solved that issue perfectly. I just switch it on while the dryer is running in the closet and it actually helps the dryer work faster by reducing the humidity in the circulating air. It will remove nearly a gallon of water over night. I live at the beach and the damp air is a challenge for any laundry room. This has really changed things for the better. I highly recommend it. Worth every penny.

I live in Florida and it is very humid. I don't like to run the air conditioner because I don't like the cold. This dehumidifier takes a lot of moisture out of the air and makes it a lot more bearable. I had a different brand that I used for about 3 years before it quit. this Honeywell takes a lot more moisture out of the air in a lot less time. Well worth the extra cost.

Best Choice

This is a great dehumidifier if you want to run the hose to a drain. It's nice that it comes with the hose. The bucket, though, is very small and difficult to remove and replace.

Small Bucket

This dehumidifier is lightweight sleek and easy to manage.  Just the right size for my basement and its Just the right size for my basement and its easy to empty when full.  Very pleased.

On line purchase from here at Walmart.  Best price around, shipped free and quickly.  Simple set up and easy to connect to drain with supplied hose. Replaces an old Kenmore that was repaired under warranty and super noisy ever since.  New unit is quiet, nice control layout with humidity readout, see the % start dropping in just a few minutes.  One thing to note, the five year warranty is only parts on the sealed unit, one year parts and labor on full unit.  Typical repair on the sealed unit might be a recharge with sealant - no parts - but labor, consumables,  and shipping on the consumer?   Walmart extended warranty might be worthwhile.  Unit is made in China, max. current draw about 5.5 amps 120vac.  R410a refrigerant.

Runs quietly and smoothly. It takes a little time to understand how to set it so that it doesnt run all the time. Good product and a fair price.

**This listing isn't for the 50 pint. The product you will get is actually the 30 pint model. ** This dehumidifier is very quiet.  I haven't had any issues. The auto-shutoff when the tank is full works perfectly.

Quiet

I am pleased with Honeywell Energy Star 30-Pint Dehumidifier.  It seems to be doing a good job in my finished basement and is relatively quiet.  Would definitely recommend it.  It was easy to set up and use.

Good product for the money.

Quiet, easy to roll around if needed. Major downside is the bucket size--we have to empty it twice a day in WI because it is so small. 30 pints is 3.75 gallons, but I think it must shut off at 3 or less, because it isn't much. I didn't see if you can do a hose attachment, but it doesn't look like it. Easy-to-read display. Probably more electronics than it needs for settings--I just want it to run and not burn out in two years like all the others.

Solid but be prepared to empty

It dehumidifies but there are three flaws worth mentioning: 
1) The hygrometer is wildly inaccurate. I expected to be able to set it like a thermostat and leave it on all the time, but that's impossible because the humidity level it reports varies so much. With a desktop hygrometer showing 55% RH, the display on this dehumidifier shows 80% when I first turn it on, eventually coming down to my 45% set point and turning off, then rising back to 55-60% within a minute and turning back on again. The only way to use this dehumidifier without short-cycling is to set the dehumidifier to a very low RH% or continuous operation, and just manually turn it on and off as needed. 
2) It has a sleep mode where it dims the display a little (maybe half) but even in sleep mode it still emits three loud beeps when the container is full. It seems obvious that sleep mode should also mute the full container alarm, but it doesn't. 
3) The low frequency hum from the compressor is loud and travels through walls and floors. With it placed on the first floor the hum is audible in every room of our 2-story 3-bedroom house.
Because of these flaws I'm thinking of returning it.
