I purchased the Hoover Portable Carpet and Upholstery Pet Spot Cleaner a few months ago. I waited to give it a review to see how it continued to perform. Here I am months later, giving it 5 stars and would give more if allowed. I have carpeted steps that are difficult to keep clean, so that's why I purchased this particular brand. The main reason was the  7" Wide Path Tool. It covers a lot more area than the smaller ones. It is so easy to use, light, and incredibly powerful without being too noisy.  Here's where I sound like an infomercial, but wait, there's more.... the tight spot tool is perfect for the corners of the steps.  I couldn't recommend a portable carpet cleaner more. It's worth every penny.

This carpet cleaner works wonders!! I used it in my stairs and it lifted every stain and the littlest piece of dirt you can think of. Only complaint is the waste tank doesn’t hold much before you have to dump it.

Definitely works

I purchased this machine to use in my 5th wheel Rv, spills are all to common in a Rv.
It works great and has plenty of suction to get through your carpet and pre treatment on anything is a half too in my eyes. It’s easy to use and fill with the cleaning solution and it cleans up very easy and it is smaller than I had thought

Definite for a Rv, YES WORTH THE CASH

i love the fact the handle comes apart to clean all areas! But the sprayer plopps out water and is not an even mist across the serface at all, which i can deal eith bc i like to soak a area then go back and suck it up a minute or so later. the suction is t very powerful which for a small machine makes sense but was slightly disappointing after hearing such good things.  i have decied to keep it but i do not put this better then other simular products and def not as good as a full machine with hose option. its noce to have on hand .

wanky sprayer ok suction

The end of the cleaner was either broken when I got it or the first swipe down it broke and snagged my couch causing it to pull the fabric had I been pushing harder it would have ripped it. I rubbed my hand across the end of it where the water is sucked up and sure enough there was a piece of the plastic that was broken.

Caution I’m sure it could have been a defect

i boight this item new and i got a used product,  never open it because i was in the process of moving now i open it and the product is dirty from someone else using it

The box has been opened and they did put a piece of paper mentioned “This Unit Has Been Quality Tested With Water To Ensure Performance” which is considered as a used item.  PLUS it came with a missing tool!! Very disappointed! If you want to sell the product in this conditions at least mentions it’s a refurbished item, don’t try to sell the used one in a brand new price!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it to clean a paper stain, 20 minutes in stops sucking and only makes motor noise. Turned off hoping next day it would fix itself and nothing. Had to clean everything by hand which defeats the purpose of this purchase. So upset

Broke the first time I used it!

I am on my 3rd and final Hoover CleanSlate. After a few minutes of continuous use, fluid ends up spraying from the bottom air intake vents. This is not an anomaly. This is a design flaw. I am moving to Bissell. The only positive is Hoover’s warranty department which shipped out replacements within 2 weeks of notice.
