I have had this cleaner for several years.  It does a great job. It's light weight, very easy to use, and a great value.

Great Value

Still giving it 5 stars, though we had to tape the handle on to get it to stay.  It's a perfect solution for keeping our bedroom carpet clean.  It removed the residue and re-staining left after a professional carpet clean.  We prefer to use it with Folex carpet cleaner solution - 1 part to 4 parts of water.  We did multiple passes to suction up the solution and the low pile carpet dried in about 4 hours on a humid day.

Just right for our small apartment

It's so easy to use and is light enough to carry upstairs. I use it often and don't feel the need to have professional carpet cleaners come as frequently as I did in the past.

Lots of hair and big paws that bring in lots of dirt and dust. This along with our Hoover hard floor cleaner help us out a lot !

Mice compact rug/ carpet cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had carpets that needed to be cleaned. This carpet cleaner did an excellent job. You can never go wrong with Hoover. I looked at many carpet cleaners but this one caught my eye because of it's features.

High Quality

This is a compact carpet cleaner that did a reasonably good job at cleaning the rugs. We have black and white chevron thick wool rugs. The one annoying thing was that thick chunks of black wool kept getting stick in the rollers and then coming off on the white areas of the rugs, discoloring them somewhat. Not bad for the price.

Not bad for the price

We really love this machine. It's rather easy to use and it does a great job of getting the carpets clean. One minor issue we have, as others have noted, is that liquid does tend to leak from the reservoir that holds the clean water & detergent. We attempted to mitigate this issue by making sure the reservoir in firmly in place after re-installing it, and that seems to have helped, although not completely. Otherwise, we feel its a terrific carpet cleaning machine.

Great Deep Cleaning Carpet Machine

The cleaning power is good. The size and weight are good. It does a nice job for small areas 
Unfortunately this machine is made for pets. And the ability to clean the machine is poor. You can’t clean the rotating blades, the shield over them as well the piece that draws out the liquid. Leaving it disgusting! This is very distracting you can’t properly clean it. As well with the tank there is a small neck piece that came off. There is no way to fix it. As you can’t get in the tank. And the same thing with the tank. It’s difficult to get cleaned out really well.

Good & Bad

The only reason why I rated this cleaner with 2 stars is because it works great, but when I turn it off and put it back in the closet everything that gets sucked up leaks out on the way to the closet. I literally have to get my mop out every time I use the cleaner.
