[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I prefer a wax-treated cloth, some prefer oil treatment. I use both, depending on the circumstance. If the environment is conducive to rust formation, I will use an oil-treated cloth such as the Remington or Birchwood Casey chamois, then finish with a less oily cloth such as this Hoppe's. If rust is not a problem, %26 the object is clean %26 in good condition, I will use a wax treated cloth only. One thing that the old-timers did, was store their objects with a camphor tablet to inhibit rust. I put a camphor tablet in with some of my tools for this reason.

I am very satisfied with this product.
It does a outstanding job.

Great Product

This cloth is marketed for use on wood stocks to restore luster. That's all this cloth does with limited success. The cloth leaves a satin luster on stocks in fairly good condition or better.
