My 3yr old loves this car wash. He enjoys playing with it overall. We use it as a tub toy. Each night before bath time he collects his cars for the car wash. We've even gifted our 4yr old nephew one as well. The only downfall is that i wish it would have came with 2 cars or more.

I bought this item as a Black Friday deal for $20 instead of the original price of $44.95. 
And I'm so glad I did because after assembling it, it's not worth $45 nor $20, but you know, everything is overpriced these days, and it is a lot smaller than I thought. However, my 5 year old son loved it! It needed to be filled with water every 5 mins. That's the only downfall, and it definitely needs to be played with outside or on top of a towel because water will get everywhere.

My son is into everything “color change” lately. This is one of the very first things he asked Santa to bring him for Christmas and also the first gift he gave his full attention to in Christmas morning. I have purchased other Hot Wheels Color Shifter items in the past but this is the biggest set bought and it did not disappoint. It is easy enough for my four year old to operate and he plays with often. All I had to do was open the box and follow the instructions to easily assemble it and add the hot/cold water. I learned with one of the Hot Wheels monster truck color shifter sets to put a plastic tablecloth on either my coffee or dining room table and lay a thick towel underneath and the set on top to help alleviate some of the water getting everywhere. Some mess is to be expected but it wasn't much and my kiddo is happy every time he plays with this. If your child is into the whole color change craze right now and loves Hot Wheels then this item would be a good buy.

My 4 year old loves it!

Bought this for my 3 yr old grandson. He loved the color changing aspect but was not able to fill the squirt bottles independently and even though there is a place to catch water it did not always fall in the reserve. He loves it but needs an adult to help.

Adult help needed for younger kids

We gave this to my 2  year old grandson for Christmas. Obviously he's a little young for it, but likes sending his cars down the spiral tracks. A piece at the bottom keeps popping out of place.  Like most toys, it's not too strongly constructed, but it's fun.

Exciting for little ones. Purchased for toddler that loves all things cars, trucks, etc. The color changing function of the cars when in cold or hot water is a fun touch but water does splash so use a water resistant surface or cover the surface. It was easy to assemble, wish two cars came with it to at least cover both sides.

Exciting Track

Careful using hot water! Make sure it doesn't exceed the allowed temperature or you will end like me and have a damaged toy. It still works but the hot water container is a little deformed and the vendor doesn't sell replacement parts.

Read the instructions completely!

The car wash is okay, you constantly have to fill up the water for the wash, then dump the bottom drawer when it's full. I put a towel under this on the kitchen table because water gets everywhere.  If I had the choice to repurchase this or buy a different item, I wouldn't buy this again. I bought other cars, which were very expensive, because it only came with one.

my grandson loves it. it really doesnt make a lot of sense. the cars dont move all the way down the ramp smoothly %26 you have to constantly fill the blue %26 red reservoirs with cold cold water %26 hot water. if someone doesnt watch the middle bottom square that catches the water, it overflows everywhere!

it was fun and cute for a day but then it got exhausting having to keep filling up the water bins with really hot or really cold water it has to be that way to work and it was a lot of work for me with my grandkids LOL so they really only got one day of play out of it and they were done with it
