Durability is really important to me when it comes to kids toys! Getting started with the cars is easy too! Just take them out of the packaging and you are good to go! It comes with 3 vehicles too and each one has different designs! And each vehicle turns different colors when exposed to
cold and warm water! This set of cars been a blast for my kiddos! Give them a try, you will be happy you did!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These monster trucks are a great addition to a Color Shifters set or a water table. My 4 year old and 7 year old enjoyed playing with them outside on a warm day. The trucks change color when they get warm water on them and change back when they are in cold water. 
Here's a tip: It's important to make sure your warm water stays warm and your cold water stays cold, so have ice handy for the cold water. You may need to change out the the water every 10 minutes or so, because as the temperatures normalize the color change feature is less effective - this totally depends on the air temperature and how much water gets splashed while playing. 
Other than the color change, these are built the same as Mattel's other awesome monster trucks and work with existing launchers.

Trucks, Water table, and ice equals hours of fun!

I love how durable they seem to be, even worth the exceptional detailing of the trucks. The hot and cold changing features do require decently extreme temps, wish it required less.
