​Mecha Shark Face-Off play set is a high stakes head-to-head Monster Truck battle where winners get the trophy and everyone else gets eaten by the shark! Two Hot Wheels 1:64 scale Monster Trucks with their signature giant wheels are up against each other and a menacing mechanical shark. One truck is a die-cast Hot Wheels Racing Truck and the other a break-apart crash test vehicle called "Crash Recruit" unique to this set. Kids test their timing skills in a circular arena with a large trophy cup in the center. Get the action started and place trucks on opposing launchers to slam into each other in two player mode! Land inside the trophy to win or miss and become shark bait!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Mecha Shark Face-off Play Set for free in exchange for a review a few weeks ago. My 4 year old son was so excited to play with it, he started putting it together before I had it all out of the box.  It was fairly easy and quick to assemble.  The first bad thing was that my son was upset that it showed trucks on the packaging that it did not come with, but I know that is fairly normal with any toy.  It was fun to play with for a little while.  My son laughed at the shark spinning around.  It was so hard to get the shark activated with a truck.  Especially the one that was lighter.  Maybe an older kid could do it better, but even my husband and I had trouble.  For some reason the shark wouldn't spin anymore.  My son hasn't touched it since.  I tried the shark again, and it seems to be working.  The trucks themselves are fine, and fun to play with.  I wouldn't recommend this playset.

Monster Truck fun with a few issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six year old son was super excited to receive this. Initially it was really fun to play with and he liked it but quickly grew tired of it. It basically does the same thing over and over. He really enjoyed the shark aspect of the toy. For the toy to work successfully the trucks have to be pretty light and that in turn made them lower quality. Overall fun but not a long lasting toy

Fun for a little while

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son recieved this track a few weeks ago and he has been playing with it every day since! He loves the trucks and the shark theme of course! It handles some pretty rough play and keeps him busy for a while! Must have for any little boy that enjoys tace tracks! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

One of my sons favorite tracks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 1/2 year old daughter really loves this toy. However, it took a while to break in because the shark wouldn't trigger as it should when a truck would be released into it. It took several dozen plays with the toy, to loosen the shark properly. The tracks all loosen with usage and from time to time, you need to pop them back into place. 

With that being said, overall it's a fun game to play with. She likes the trucks, though one of the trucks it comes with, is very light. But, it did prompt us to go purchase a few more die cast monster trucks from the Hot Wheels line. 

Even with the issues described above, I'd still recommend this toy.  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
