Take the kid-powered elevator to the top, then release the car at each level where there are three activators that randomly trigger the shark to break through and devour the car. It's easy to assemble and the other Hot wheel sets attach to it, so more added fun. You can elevate the cars up in the lift and choose your path by pushing the buttons. The shark is just brilliant and snaps away when the car gets swallowed up. So much fun to be had with this set and I'd highly recommend it. Perfect for joint play too,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both me and my son was very pleased and happy when we received this Hot Wheels Attacking Shark Escape playset. It is truly amazing! I recommend it to anyone as in my opinion this is the most entertaining toy. It offers hours of fun play. The set comes with one car but you can get more separately and have more fun! It was very easy to assemble it.. in just 5 minutes and the material is sturdy. It has a manual elevator, garage and the fun part comes when you release a car down the ramp and the shark jumps and eats the car. It is great for role play and imagination. My 4 yo boy loves playing with it every day.

Lovely toy provides hours of fun

We were elated to get this toy on sale for my son's 6th birthday.  There are a multitude of ways to enjoy this toy and it is sporadic and surprising with every car you drop down. the shark that is the centerpiece of this toy is designed very well and it's surprisingly versatile in its ability and use. Each time you release a car down the track you're not quite sure which way the shark will attack. there is even a place to set an additional racer that you can push by hand to have follow the initial car and hopefully get flipped into the shark's mouth by the bridge below. Our entire family enjoyed this and we would highly recommend it.

Surprisingly innovative and easy to assemble.

My 4yo grandson loved the toy but grew bored after a couple of days. Next time I'd look into tracks that can be built in different configurations to allow him to take it apart and rebuild it.

We got this as a birthday gift for our 4yr old and he loved it. The set is easy to assemble and has 3 switches that control when the shark pops out. And I think this is where Hot Wheels made the shark activation unnecessarily confusing. What I mean is, it's not clear in which order the switches need to be operated to get the shark out - at least for a 4 or 5yr old. But otherwise, this a good looking, fun Hot Wheels set.

Fun But Wonky Play Mechanics

Everything about it is easy enough to use and put together except for the fact that the shark sometimes gets stuck as do a couple of the parts that hold things where they need to be for proper use. My four year old has a hard time trying to get them clipped in. I even struggle at times. It's manageable just kind of a pain.

Really Great Except…

I expect more from Hot Wheels. I got it on sale but still spending over $40. It lasted not even 24 hours. The springs or track doesn't do what it's supposed to. What a rip off! I have a very sad little boy who earned this toy. Hot Wheels you failed

Hot Wheels failure

We were (our children) so excited about this set, but sadly, the shark didn't open the mouth like on the video. My kids wanted it for that reason, and in the end, they didn't enjoy it. The rest was fine, but not enjoyable.
