People choose straws for many reasons, we’re sure

Straws are a simple instrument that serves a simple purpose: A thin hollow tube (usually plastic) used for transferring liquid from a container to the mouth. Some studies have shown that straw use to be beneficial with preventing teeth staining and erosion; while also decreasing bacteria and germ exposure when consuming beverages from cups and glasses at restaurants and other public areas.
 
Straws also come in handy by decreasing those unpleasant situations where you raise an ice-filled cup of something to your mouth, only to have that ice shift so both that ice and the something else hits you in the face.
 
But ordinary rigid straws are flawed and generally only work with smaller sized cups. Beyond 20 oz. or so, the base of the straw fails to sit at the bottom of the cup, so you end up having to drink with the rim to your mouth.

I got these for my work because a customer mentioned a bigger straw for shakes that have stuff in them (peanuts, cookies, etc). These worked perfect plus it gives a pop of color. I didn't know they were individually wrapped either so even better. They are thick and don't feel cheap or flimsy.

I wanted straws that weren't narrow , ones that I could drink my thick shakes and Lattes' that I make at home and when I found these Houseables Milkshake Straws, Large Straw, 10.5” Long, 0.5” I thought I'd give them a try. They arrived packaged well and are exactly what I wanted and I believe they are going to work out very well as they look even better than I expected, They should last me quite a while as I will wash the same one (use more than once) and there are 100 in the bag , none damaged either ! I do think they are a little expensive but if I want something I guess I have to pay the cost and these are exactly as I wanted and as described. Finally a straw that the drink comes through easily. I highly recommend these straws for people that drink thick drinks or need to for medical reasons.

These are extra wide strong sturdy straws for smoothies, drinks and shakes.  If you've been to pdq before, I think these are the same size straws.  So much better than the ones at the grocery store.

If the colors in the picture were anywhere in this packet, I would keep.  However, I have mostly white, some plain (not neon) green and a few yellow.  This pic shows zero white but my packet is almost ALL white!  Who wants that?  I could just get store-bought, plain white straws.  So disappointed.  I was really looking forward to the neon, bright fun colors in the straws, like the picture shows.  I will be returning these.
