Fine printer cartridge

Super easy to swap the empty toner cartridge for the new one. Took a few seconds and the printer recognized it right away.

Replace toner in seconds.

The HP 134A cartridge is easy to remove and install a new one. Printing is very clear. 
My HP printer is used solely for home use so the cartridge lasts quite a while.

Long lasting

Purchased the high yield toner based on the number of copies it says it will produce.  I am lucky if I get half the amount of printing from one cartridge.  The printer was purchased for home use and school.  Would have rather purchased a more expensive printer that could handle more copies without having to replace toner so often.

THEY WANT YOU TO SEND THE EMPTY ONE BACK TO THEM.  SO ALL THEY DO IS FILL UP YOUR EMPTY CARTRIDGE WITH THE BLACK STUFF AND YOU PAY AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT FOR THE CARTRIDGE ALL OVER AGAIN.  THEY MAKE 1000 PERCENT OR MORE ON A CARTRIDGE YOU PAY FOR OVER AND OVER.  THEY JUST FILL IT BACK UP AND SELL IT TO YOU ALL OVER AGAIN.  WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!

This cartridge is fine technically. I am not happy with the HP business model of locking their customers' printers from using alternative cartridges. HP is not alone in this practice of holding their customers hostage using anti-competitive practices. It's similar to BMW wanting car owners to subscribe to a monthly fee service to activate certain features on their vehicles.

Does not give the yield of the number of sheets expected.

Fewer leaves than assumed.

For some reason the printer did not accept the toner cartridge. At first the cartridge wouldn't 'settle' into the printer. It did this morning but then it wouldn't print. An error message and the number 75 was received and I still can't print!!

Nothing but grief. Trying to get the new printer to talk to my devices via the HP Smart app has been hopeless. Sometimes the device will say the printer is “ready” but the app will say it was “offline”. It seems the app (or my devices?) can't “forget” my former HP printer and so I keep getting mixed messages. Sometimes I am told the printer is offline and yet 10 minutes later it comes back online and executes the print job. I have tried every solution (delete and reload app, repeat printer setup by manually entering the IP address, consult ChatGPT, etc, etc). None of the troubleshooting steps seem to work.  It just seems like another example where a cloud based app creates a dysfunctional communications triangle.
