Perfect price, size and style for my daughters' rooms. We bought 2 and were easy to install (once we upgraded the ceiling box to a fan-rated box for 70 lbs). Daughters have loved them and the fans have helped keep them cool in that saddle time between "AC-time" and the final cooling off of summer. Looking forward to the savings in heat come winter!

The fan is working very well. It took 90 minutes to install, I did the install myself.

Very nice fan and light

Classic, modern and industrial all at the same time!  High quality and solidly built!  Blades are more black-brown than jet black just so you know for decorative/aesthetic purposes.  Light is fairly bright in a 11 x 13 bedroom and motor is really quiet while running fan!

Total package!

I bought two of these ceiling fans, and could not be happier. They are quiet and do the job wonderfully. The remote controls are a nice bonus. And they look fabulous! What's not to like?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dempsey fan with light is a very nice addition to my living room.  My husband installed it in a half hour.  The hardest part for us was getting our old fan off the ceiling and into the trash.  I will say that I myself could not install this fan, however, if you have someone handy that can do electrical work with in your family, then it will be a breeze.  We did have the electricity turned off to that area of the house during installation.  Once installed, as you can tell by my picture, it looks so nice.  And, the coolest thing for me was the little handy switch that controls the fan and light.  You can be anywhere in the room and turn the fan and light on. How cool is that?

How cool is this?

The ceiling fan arrived in good condition and the ceiling fan was packed very well with no damage. Once installed, the fan operated quietly and without a hitch. It looks great and fits in well with our decor. We would recommend this fan to others. Only one concern was noted at installation. Each of the fan blades are held in place by three (3) screws. On one of the blades, the center hole was not tapped properly and would not accept the screw. However, this did not seem to effect the operation of the fan. Being a maker of quality ceiling fans, it was a bit surprising that quality control did not pick up on this.

We bought a Dempsey for a guest room. It's very quiet and has OK air flow but it is a small 44inch fan which might explain the airflow.  It is sturdy and the light is good. We like that the remote shows the three speeds so you know which speed you're choosing. I wouldn't say it's stylish in appearance (it's bulky-looking) but it works for what we need it for. It's a good fan for the price.

The fan and the light both work great but the fan has a constant hum. Also, it would be nice if there was a bracket for the remote to mount on the wall.

The fan looks fine and the electrician installed it quickly.  Unfortunately the motor makes a clicking sound and I will need to take it down and ship it back, then hire the electrician to come back to install it.  I'm hopeful that the replacement fan does not have the same issue.  I received a very timely response from their Customer Services team.

It was a nightmare! The fan did not come with the
screws for the cealing bracket. The instructions
 said use the ones there. They were too short, I
 had to out and buy two screws. Many of the screws 
were small and droped some. No extra screws were 
provided. The instructions said to put 3 wires in
 the wire nuts.The wiore nuts were too small and
 I had to go out and buy one. There was no wall 
mount for the remote control.
For an expensive fan and the price I paid it was
 unbelieveable the parts needed were not privided
Do not make the same mistake I made!! Do not buy 
this fan!!!!
