The fan is great, it's quiet and is (mostly) balanced right out of the box. The controller however needs a lot of work. Setting the lights brightness is supposed to be selectable but with this one, you hold the controller button down as the light dims or continue to hold it and it begins to brighten again. The problem is that once you let go of the button, the light continues to dim/brighten until it gets to the minimum/maximum brightness. I have yet to be able to get the light to stay somewhere between its brightest setting and its lowest setting.

The fan is quiet and rather ordinary looking which is what I was looking for. I didn't want people's eyes drawn upward. It works and moves the air well. To change the direction of the blades you have to untwist the light cover and move the switch which is not convenient. Also, I did not realize the remote holder was included in the box so I ordered another one.
