The 1000 GPH Active Aqua Submersible Pump was built to go below the waterline in your pond. Active Aqua's entire collection of pumps complete any grow setup, but for hydroponic systems, you can't beat the submersible line. All of Active Aqua's submersible pumps include multiple hose fittings so you get an exact fit every time. Each pump's powerful mag drive construction includes removable foam filters, impellers, rubber mounting feet to reduce vibration, and a 6-foot heavy duty power cord. 

The Active Aqua Submersible Pump moves 1,000 gallons per hour and is recommended for 100 plus gallon reservoirs, but you can adjust the pump's flow to move at your preferred rate. And as an added bonus, with its dependable design, feel free to use this pump inside or outside. 

NOTE: Models 40 GPH-160 GPH contain a steel shaft and are not suitable for saltwater applications. Larger pumps (250 GPH-1000 GPH) have a ceramic shaft, and these are suitable for saltwater operation.

So far, the pump works great and we love it. It's only been in use for about a week, but so far, no complaints. If a problem does arise, I will edit this review.

Very easy to install, solid structure that can be bolted in so that it doesn't move around at the bottom. It was designed to be outside in a pond but can be used easily for indoor setups as well, whether it be for filtration, water movement for aeration, or just to do a quick water change.  A lot of power for the flow rate and comes with different attachments to use different hose sizes for filter attachments and is very quiet for  the amount of water it pushes through. Would definitely recommend it to for fish pond and aquarium fanatics.

I put it in, plugged it up, and by the time I got back, within 20 minutes, to take photos, my pool was already drained completely. It worked very fast. No noise and it drained the pool completely. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product comes as described. It's heavy and sturdy. I use this to pump water out of the rain catcher. It pumps strongly and does not make loud noise. The water flow rate must be adjusted manually. I like that the power cord is long.

Strong pump suitable for outdoor fountain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hubby's dad really enjoyed using this pump for his fish tanks. He's an avid fish enthusiast and is always on the lookout for pumps and fish filters. He says its small but does relatively well for his smaller tanks. The noise level is manageable too. We received this pump as a claim for our review.

Small but mighty

I have had this pump for almost 1 years.   It clogs super easy . I don't have a dirty pond - it's clear but as all pond have super tiny debris it will simply clog this pump to where there is hardly any flow from the out put .  I constantly have to take my water hose to it and clean the sponge which doesn't look dirty .    It's a constant battle .   I bought a bigger pump for my main water fall and it never clogs and I've had it for two years .   This little one is just a pain in the butt . I even tried experimenting and putting filter pads on the outside of it to help it from clogging - but that doesn't help either. .   It's simply to sensitive to anything in the water .   If it was a fountain ? Maybe . But not made for a pond . I am very disappointed in this product.
