My sawzall costs 5 timrs as much but is bulky.. this HyperTough Compact is more powerful and fits in small places.. only difference is it has one speed FAST !  whereas the sawzall has a two speed switch.. but who uses a reciprocating saw on slow speed??   I LOVE these tools from HYPERTOUGH.. and i wasnt paid to review them@@

Great item works well if do not need a perfect strait line cut yet very hard to keep steady seen as no handle on front to hold and up/down handle on back.
 I wish they had a add-on handle to buy for it.  I will create a front handle ((Redneck Fix) AKA (N-rig)) my self so this issue can be cured.

Great item yet can not do strait cuts out the box

Perfect for the plumbing work I needed and next up is dropping an old wood fence out back. I expect it will perform the 2nd task as well as it did the first.  We also plan to use it onnhome improvement projects in the house this year.  I will update my review if necessary.

nice item. appears to be syurdy and well built. runs smoothly, and variable speed works smoothly. adjustable depth may be only weak spot. comfortable to hold. my only minor complaint would be the difficulty rotating the toolless blade ring. might just be my fat old fingers. the blade does seat well and tight.

worked amazingly, it sawed so perfectly sawyy, you da goat walmart. sawed through branches perfectly, the cord never gets in the way. sawed through wood amazingly, lightness=light

Great saw works better then chainsaw and not heavy%26 bulky.  For cutting brush and small trees...  Love the Turn the collar and slide blade in let go  locks into place..

It seems sturdy and did what I expected it to do, but my only concern is the lack of a safety switch to prevent it from running when both hands are not holding the saw.

Recip Saw

I bought this saw to cut a cast iron pipe. It came with one wood blade, so I also purchased a metal blade at the same time. I don't know if the blade was at fault or the saw, but after several minutes of sawing, it had barely scratched the pipe. There was also a lot of vibration in the saw, especially at higher rpms, so that the blade wobbled side to side about 3/4 of an inch. This may be normal or defective, I'm not sure, as I had never used a recipricating saw before. Either way, I returned this saw and decided to cut the pipe using a different type of saw. I did not try it to cut wood, so I cannot speak on that.

Hyper Tough 6.5Amp Corded Reciprocating Saw

Heavy and difficult to use. Needs additional handle to help stabilize using tool effectively. Not the best for cutting dry wall, blade easily bends. Produces lots of dust. Not recommended for people who struggle with dexterity/disabled.

this did cut a large root but it also gave me two blisters shook like heck and was very HOT to the touch.  i may return because its not a very safe tool. when i put pressure on tool i sometimes clinch my teeth if i did this my teeth would be GONE. I had one years ago i could not find, it was a pain to change blades this one has a new system. but the cheap one from harbor fright did not vibrate my arms till nump and burn my hand and give me good size blisters

Good  for vibrating your arm's till numb and burn
