It's very lightweight.. Mine weighed 35 lbs.. It's worth the money if you're not worried about getting Shimano vs Falcon parts. The Falcon looks nicer and has an incredible 11-42 gear ratio vs Shimano.  Easy to assemble but I prefer a bit smaller tire size as it feels big for me coming from a 26" bike.  If it's your first full suspension MTB it's beautiful but if you're under 5'11 it might feel a little big.

I AM A AVID RIDER. WANTED A DECENT BIKE FOR MY SON.HE IS NOT YET RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH FOR ME TO SPEND 2K AS I DID ON MINE. A COUPLE OF THINGS THOUGH TO KEEP IN MIND. REAR SUSPENSION VERY STIFF. FRONT GOOD. SHIFTS NICE. COUPLE OF THINGS WALMART DIDNT MENTION ON THE SPECS. HANDLEBARS ARE 63CM. SEAT POST IS 28mm. REAR COG 30-14. GIVE A BIT OF TIME FOR THE BRAKE CALIPERS TO SEAT . THEY WILL NEED A COUPLE OF ADJUSTMENTS. I CANT FIGURE OUT WHY ITS SUCH A LUXURY TO ONLY HAVE ONE SPROCKET ON FRONT HUB. HAPPY BIKING EVERYONE I HOPE THIS HELPS.l

VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY

Purchasing this bike was a pleasant surprise. It is by no means a high end dual suspension, but it is an all aluminium frame with a modern design and quality components.

Bought this not that long ago and after a few modifications And backordered parts and it's almost to where I want it. Stock no modifications it's a decent ride

Great bike for the money

I bought this bike 2 days ago. I've used it for about 6 hours in total on mostly flat trail. It's a good bike and I love it but it has flaws that I need to bring to the Walmart assemblers attention.

The brakes are just a mess. There's hardly pressure when you press on the brake handle which leads to less pressure put onto the rotor from the brake pad. Second, when you brake, it squeaks. Whether that be from a bent rotor, dirty pads, or caliper misalignment, I don't know.

My recommendation is sure buy this bike, its awesome at full potential for the price, but make sure an assembler or you inspect it before you purchase or ride it.

Good bike for the price but need better quality.

Having hard time assembling. The front tire bolt in the middle won't open while assembling. Also the bike came with no tools what so ever

Bike

Originally I bought the 29" version of this bike but returned it and bought this one online instead cause it was a bit too big for me (I'm 5'11) and the 29" version had an inexcusable feature (we'll get into that cause this version has it too) So let's go over some of the features. 

The bike has a very solid and somewhat lightweight frame. Being that this is essentially the predecessor to the legendary Hyper Hydroform (only available in the US) the upgradability of this bike is fantastic and provides an excellent platform for beginners and intermediate riders. I would not advise taking this on downhill trails stock like the tag suggests but after swapping out some of the components and upgrading the suspension you can feel confident taking this on pretty much any trail you can throw at it. Again, do NOT take this bike on challenging trails in its stock configuration.

The brakes are standard mechanical disk brakes. Not great, not bad, but they get the job done. You will have to get them aligned as both bikes I got had them misaligned and were rubbing the pads. 

The handlebars are nice but are on the narrow side (630mm) and could feel pretty twitchy for larger riders. This could be a contender for an early upgrade. But they're sturdy and will get the job done in the meantime. 

The pedals are terrible. This is definitely a spot to upgrade. 

The 1x drivetrain is a thrill to have and I'm very surprised that more big box bikes don't come with this. It's lighter and simpler taking your standard 21 gears down to 9 without really losing any gear range. It's also more reliable than the standard 3x drivetrains and only having 1 shifter as opposed to 2 makes this a much more pleasant experience. 

So all that sounds pretty good right? Why the 2 star review for a bike I seem to clearly praise very highly? Well, this is why... 

This bike is not as advertised. What am I talking about here? The promise of a quality Shimano drivetrain. This includes the front crank, front derailleur, rear derailleur, and freewheel/cassette. The ad promises Shimano Altus parts which, although on the lower end of Shimano's product lineup, are vastly superior to the Falcon GYR and Falcon Saker parts you're actually getting. These parts are awful compared to the Shimano parts and the rear derailleur alone took me over an hour just to get it to shift properly. It even came slightly bent so I had to fix that as well. Cheap garbage that ruins an otherwise excellent bike.

I'm not sure who is at fault here but I'm hoping either Walmart or Hyper will rectify this issue. The Hyper website also advertises this bike as being "Shimano equipped"

If this had arrived to me with the Shimano parts as advertised, this would be one of the easiest 5 star reviews I've given, the bike is just that good for the price. But that's now what happened so for now 2 stars is all I can honestly give this bike.

For now, unless you plan to do extensive upgrades including the drivetrain, stay away unless you can go to Walmart and check out the bike in person.

Superb bike...but with a catch

This bike has been nothing but trouble. There's always something coming loose, misaligned or making a racket. First the bottom bracket started making a clunking noise. Support line couldn't even tell me what size it was, but that they'd ship me one anyway. It never came after over a month. They shipped me some other replacement that should have fit but it wasn't even close. Also had to replace the rear wheel, because the bearing is so poorly made that it starts to bend and come misaligned so badly, the tire starts contacting the frame, and the derailleur never aligns. The brakes need constant adjustment - no doubt because the alignment of the wheels is always so poor. Can't return this thing because of covid (lost the receipt) so I'm stuck. DO NOT BUY.
