All-day Comfort

Build Quality

Software

The HyperX Cloud III headphones deliver an exceptional, premium experience where it matters most: in their core hardware and fundamental performance. For gamers, audiophiles, and anyone seeking long-wearing comfort, they represent a top-tier choice, held back only by software that needs refinement.

Uncompromising Sound Quality
The audio fidelity of the Cloud III is outstanding. Whether immersed in the detailed soundscapes of a competitive video game or enjoying music, the sound signature is rich, clear, and well-balanced. The drivers provide excellent positional audio, crucial for gaming, while music playback is rendered with impressive depth and clarity. The 7.1 surround sound, when enabled, creates a genuinely immersive auditory environment.

Superb Build Quality & Unmatched Comfort
HyperX's reputation for excellent manufacturing is fully evident here. The materials feel robust and durable, from the sturdy aluminum frame to the high-quality leatherette and memory foam of the ear cups. This build translates directly into what is arguably the Cloud III's greatest strength: extreme comfort. The headphones are remarkably lightweight and the plush ear cups create an ideal seal without excessive pressure. They can be worn for marathon gaming sessions or extended music listening with virtually no fatigue, setting a high bar for comfort in its category.

The Primary Area for Improvement: Software
While the hardware is near-flawless, the accompanying software suite requires significant updates to match the physical product's excellence. The primary issues are:

1. Real-Time Adjustments: Attempting to adjust the EQ or surround sound settings often results in audio cutting out or stuttering. The lack of real-time, seamless adjustment is a notable drawback for users who like to fine-tune their audio on the fly.
2. Microphone Monitoring Control: A dedicated setting to adjust the level of sidetone (microphone monitoring) is absent. Adding this feature would give users precise control over how much of their own voice they hear, which is essential for comfortable communication during long sessions.

Verdict
In summary, the HyperX Cloud III headphones excel in absolutely every critical hardware aspect: sound quality, build quality, and exceptional comfort. They are a top recommendation for anyone prioritizing these core features. However, the accompanying software needs improvement to unlock their full potential. Once HyperX addresses these software limitations with future updates, the Cloud III will be an even more formidable and complete package.

HyperX Cloud III Headphones best headphones, I ever own, especially at this price.

When my old Logitech Pro headset died, I was so worried the replacement wouldn't be as good. I loved that headset, so the bar was set quite high, especially in terms of comfort. This HyperX headset exceeded my expectations, and truly feels like an upgrade where I felt an upgrade wasn't needed (personally). The sound is fantastic, it's super comfortable, the battery lasts a long time... Everything I was worried about had exceeded my expectations.

I definitely recommend this headset!

Great Headset!

*To update firmware, you need to have the WIFI enabled on headset, WIFI dongle connected, and headset usb c cable connected to laptop. You need to install the HyperX Ngenuity app to update firmware, enable spatial sound, and setup your equalizer.

This is an amazing headset for everyday use. I use them as my default bluetooth headset and get 2 weeks usage on a single charge. I use this headset for 10+ hours a day and they are comfortable. I'm very happy with this headset, thank you HP for making a high quality gaming headset affordable. I'll probably purchase the next version. Headset comes with a 2 year warranty. <3

High quality sound, premium build for the price.

These headphones are great and others will tell you about that, but I want to point out an extremely useful feature for my situation. I switch between my work computer and home computer often throughout the day. Prior, I had to unplug the dongle and plug it into my work and back to my personal computer. Now, I plug the dongle into my personal computer and connect the blue tooth to my work computer. I flip the switch I instantly switch between the two.

Unexpected Feature

Clearest audio I've gotten out of a headset for gaming and the microphone is super crisp. 10/10.

Crisp and Clear

The headset it is almost perfect! The only thing I wish was simultaneous wireless 2.4 and bluetooth,

Hyperx could 3s

Perfect for the price! And I've bought plenty of headsets.

The standout feature of the HyperX Cloud III for me is the battery life. I haven't charged it in a month since purchasing it, and it's still around 40%, even though I don't use it daily. I also like how seamlessly it connects with HyperX laptops and how easy it is to switch to Bluetooth.

One downside, however, is the sound quality. I was somewhat disappointed, as it doesn't get very loud compared to the HyperX CloudX headphones, despite being advertised with 50mm drivers. It feels like the headset could benefit from an amplifier, but I couldn't find any way to boost the output. That said, the overall build quality is solid.

HyperX Cloud III S Wireless Review

The headset is excellent. I liked a lot during using it. However software and support for software is not as it should be. Base software Ngenuity is so uncustomazible. U expect mid-premium quality software support too. But not. Hyperx team is not working hard enough. If u try to use Beta version, the real problem comes. It stucks, lags and even disconnect permanently and u can't solve the issue to reconnect. Developer team must finish beta version and release it as soon as possible.

Headset excellent, software trash.

The headset frame is strong being made of metal, but does not have much gripping power staying on my head when looking down The padding is fairly comfortable, albeit snug, so don't expect to be able to hear yourself talking very well through the cups.

The detachable boom mic provides decent flexibility when trying to properly arrange it for your mouth when speaking, but can get in the way trying to eat or drink whilst wearing the headset. It's nice that it is detachable, with a build in mic, but many have complained I am too quite without it, so it almost always stays attached.

I have noticed short, quick audio noised are distorted, such as an incoming message on discord, or rapid <1 second information sounds on website. These distortions happen ~60% of the time, and make the device quite frustrating to use. The auxiliary app denoted firmware updates, but would not apply them to the adapter, only the headset, despite saying both are available, and the headset update did not fix this issue. Happens on both adapter and Bluetooth.

Audio Anomolies

Had it lil over month, charged it once and now I can't get it to charge again
