I may be a little biased because i loved iCarly and relate a lot to of Jennette's story. the title of the book is ironic at first but after reading her story, i think shes just more happy that the suffering both she and her mom went through (at the hands of the mother) is over and they can both now be at peace. I love the book and im not even halfway through finishing it! Its shocking and at some points disturbing but also feels at peace, like theres no resentment. what happened is just that and Jennette has come to terms with that and has learned to live with it. Truly an amazing book.

This is a very serious book with some heavy content. Please read this with care, if you have a youth reading this check in with them to make sure they're understanding what Ms. McCurdy is talking about and that they're handling the content okay. All of that being said, this is a very good book. Worth the cautious read!

Witty with great charm.

This is my only granddaughter  Christmas present, so I know that she is going to love it because she asked for it. This is making me the greatest Grammie in the world!

Very good book, definitely better than expected!!

Awesome book, it's a bittersweet book that tells the tale of her life, along with family and other matters. Showing sad moments can be determined by the person experiencing it.

I love the author!

The book came in exactly like the picture. Then only problem is that one corner was damaged and it came in a sketchy bubble mailer with not really any protection BUT it did come in a water proof bubble mailer :)

Bought as a gift, they are about halfway through and say its a good read so far.

Literally Halfway through, after you're fully invested -the expletives start coming left and right, explicit sexual encounters, some of them coerced and you realize this is not a book about how she escaped the terrible grip her mom had on her, its just a book about her learning how to be "normal" while her mom dies, in detail. "Normal" apparently is all about sex and exploitation from the Men who she thinks "helped her to grow".

This book is not what you think it's about.
