I'm new to hair coloring let alone DIY ones. Not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars to cover my grays, I opted for drug store box dye which unfortunately fried my hair (even after following instructions to the T). I was pleased by how shiny and healthy my hair looked once I've dried my hair. I was also afraid that box dyes would make my hair look flat but this one gave my hair dimension. I'm very pleased with this product and can't shut up about it. It's a little more pricey than drug store brands but worth it.

Shiny, healthy hair

I have never used box dye or dyed my hair myself before, this kit came with everything you need and includes step by step instructions!! When I first went blonde to auburn/copper, I went to a salon to get it done. While I was happy with the results, it wasn't what I envisioned when I initially went in. After about 6 weeks I began looking for a box dye that is 1) more the color I initially wanted and 2) a way to save money instead of going to a salon every 8 weeks or so. Overall, HIGHLY recommend and am so glad that I set up auto-ship!

IN LOVE--better than the salon!

Can't believe I finally found the perfect charcoal gray color for my hair. I've tried other colors that look great on the box, but once used are nothing exceptional. This product is! The titanium color is exceptional & doesn't leave the hair brittle. Love it!

Amazing product

This kit had everything. From skin protectant to clean up wipes. This is the perfect set for a first time dyer. While the contents don't go as far as I'd wish it did per box aka one box doesn't cover a lot of hair. If your hair hits your shoulders get two boxes.

Perfect for a first timer

I received these products for free from Influenster and brand(s) in exchange for my honest review.I received color 4N. Traditionally 4N is a dark brown color. This was more on the black side and it turned out very dark. I'm not really happy with how dark it is. Also, despite being neutral, my hair has a red undertone to it now. I liked the consistency of the dye, it did not splash or get anywhere unlike other brands I've used. It did make my scalp itch, I have sensitive skin so I'm not sure if this would be good for anyone else with sensitive skin. The gloss included for after shampoo was minuscule and disappointing. The instructions provided were very clear and the products were labeled by step, so it would be good for a beginner. It beats other box brands a little, but not necessarily for the price aside from supposedly having better ingredients. I do like that it is cruelty free, so if you do not mind the price and are looking for cruelty free and do not have sensitive skin, I would recommend it.

i was hoping it bright up my dark hair color a bit more. it does cover the gray well and make my hair soft and thick. its only the color i feel its not really light golden brown as i hope for. we need more warmer medium brown instead of darker brown kinds.

love everything about it

The product was fine, the the ridiculous amount of time it was in transit and the shockingly high Carbon footprint will prevent me from ordering again . According to the tracking system it went from Kanas to Ohio to Miami Florida to someplace apparently in central Florida to San Francisco, finally to Novato. According to PG&E I have the third lowest energy use of similar home in my area, the same with water use. I drive a Tesla, I take climate change and protecting the environment seriously.

The hair product that toured the United States

I was looking forward to try IGK's Permanent Color Kit after seeing many good reviews. Finally decided to give it a try and honestly was a disappointed. Overall the kit seemed complete and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The results were not as advertised, I went with French Rose hoping for a pinkish color but it just ended up orangish.On top of the less than desired results, the order took more than 2 weeks to receive.

Only hints of orange not even a shade or tint of pink...

I got recommended this color by an igk expert that it matched the brown Bella hair mask the best. I should have known better when it looked a little light on the box but I've never had a hair color can't turn my hair a few Shades lighter bronzy brown. This is nothing like the brown Bella hair mask if that's what you are going for which I was. Now I have brownish red tinted hair that I have to deal with until I can figure out what to do.

Deceiving color

I have naturally dark hair. Based on the before and after pics, Surf Club is supposed to lighten dark hair as well but it didn't change my hair color one bit. I followed the instructions to a T too. Not sure what went wrong. Not to mention there was not enough product for my mid-back length hair.
