I recently moved into a new home and, unfortunately, my bedroom sets won’t be arriving for quite some time—possibly months or even longer. Needing a comfortable place to sleep in the meantime, I decided to try one of these air mattresses.

I loved it so much that I ended up ordering two more for the other bedrooms! They are incredibly easy to set up—just plug in and inflate—and they are surprisingly comfortable. The height makes a big difference; getting in and out of bed feels just like a traditional mattress. I even have a Sleep Number bed, and this feels very comparable.

They’re also lightweight and easy to move around, and making the bed is simple. I have queen sizes, but I prefer using king bedding for a better fit and look.

I would highly recommend these for overnight guests or even longer-term use while staging or transitioning between homes.

One tip from my experience: avoid placing the inflation end against the wall. I made that mistake and ended up pushing it into the wall, which caused some minor damage that needed touch-up paint. I’ve since learned it’s much better to position the inflation end at the foot of the bed instead of the head.

Amazing for sleeping

The company tells you that it will stretch, after 3 days, you will need to add more air, which I did.  I bought a 2" memory foam/1" mattress cover combo for the air matress.   I had the same thing on my old air mattress.   This makes it feel like a real bed.  If it would hold up for 10 years like my old one did, this would make me very happy.

I’m really impressed with this Intex Dream Lux airbed. The built-in pump inflated the mattress quickly and evenly, and the pillow-top surface makes it feel more like a real bed than an air mattress. It’s supportive, comfortable, and holds air all night without sagging. The height makes it easy to get on and off, and the material feels durable. Overall, this was a great purchase and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone needing a reliable extra bed.

Surprisingly Comfortable and Worth Every Penny

I haven't slept on it but son has and said it was very comfortable and he liked the fact that it was off the floor enough to feel like a regular mattress. We also liked the fact that we didn't have to by an extra pump because it was built and super easy to use.

I think I’ve had this about a month now, opted for this instead of a mattress and bed frame, since it was a little out of my budget. I sleep on it every night. Me, my boyfriend and my son. For the most part stays firm, of course the edge is a little bouncy but it is to be expected. I have not experienced any air leaks or holes anywhere, even after accidentally dropping a tac down there on the side of the bed. I would also like to note that this was an upgrade from an intex air mattress, maybe half the height. I was definitely closer to the ground. This mattress gives you the “real bed” feeling. Could even get a fitted sheet to stay on. If you’re comfortable with the price it’s a great investment.

I have had other Intex mattresses before, so I didn't hesitate getting this one. It was NOT as comfortable as the other Intex mattresses I've had. The edges of this one weren't as firm, which is what I always liked about Intex. Still a good deal for the money, though.

Worth the $$

Night 1 some deflation, half way through night 2 a bit more deflation night 3 less than 3 hours of falling asleep I woke up on the floor as a great amount of air had leaked out. After filling it back up I realized that the seam on the left bottom corner of the bed had cracks in it. 

Definitely not a pillow top, not a dream, not very comfortable and nothing more than a basic air bed that sits 24” off the floor. 

Setting up the bed was very easy
Inflating the bed was quick and easy
The quality of the bed needs improvement and certainly not any type of pillow top
The value for money was not worth it

Great disappointment

Support is here button a form of too small pad. Support end like 15 inches from the edges, so you cannot sit on the edge or younger Ike on a slide and you cannot sleep peaceafully, because you’re afraid you’ll roll over, good idea but bad support placement. Returning, disappointed because I wanted to replace my old Intex mattress, like 8 years old now, but perfect craftsmanship and quality and durability. This one is not it.

Just off

I bought the air mattress in Nov 2025. The first 3 times I used it I loved it. Very sturdy and comfortable. But I decided to use it again and notice that the air is not staying in. I had my brother lay on the bed to see if I could hear air getting out (to see if there’s a hole) but couldn’t hear any air coming out. Now the air won’t stay in and I have to re inflate every 2-3 hours. I don’t recommend buying

Does not stay inflated

I had an 18" tall one from this company before and it was great for years. needed a replacement and ordered the 24" tall one. After inflation I sat on the side and the other side flipped up. It's just too tall. you can't return once opened, and you can't see what it's like until you open it.....
