I like the size. Other containers smallest size was to hold 25 lbs.  This container is supposed to hold 12 lbs. I don't know for sure what it holds because I have not filled it with one of our full bags yet. I like the fact that it has a gasket around the edges so it closes with a tight seal once you close the latch.

I ordered this container to store my dogs dry food in instead of leaving it in the ugly bag %26 I was really happy with my purchase. Of course it's from Iris %26 it's made out of a high quality material with clips on it so that the food stays fresh. I got the gray color container which goes with the color of my kitchen. But, so far so good. I hvnt had it long enough to really tell if there are going to be other issues.

This works great for storing dry dog food. It keeps the food fresh and is easy to store

A Great Storage Bin

I'm using this as a kitchen food scrap storage bin before I bring it to a local farmers market once a week for composting. I could not find a compost storage bin that was not made in China so I had to broaden my search. Glad I came across the made in USA IRIS pet storage container. It works well for how I am using it.

Good and sturdy and being able to see how much is in it without having to open it is great.  I only wish that it held 16lbs instead of the 12lbs, since that is the size of the cat food bags that I get.

This container is sleek looking and fits in the small place between the cabinet and wall where I needed it to, but no way it holds anywhere near 12.5lbs of cat food. I got 8lbs in and that was a struggle.

Hard too... judge sizes as such in a picture, so it wasn't what I expected. It came in quickly but only half of it.I received the container, but with no lid. I will be returning it when I go back to town again.

I'm not sure what food it's going to hold 12 lbs of but it's not going to be any dog food!!! Highly disappointed in this purchase.  Paid way too much for such a small item.

Do not buy if using for dog food.
