I had been feeding 4Health for a few years and my dogs enjoyed it. But the last couple of bags were met with resistance, the dogs picked at it,weren't finishing their meals and were not enjoying their food. I feed my cat IAMS so I decided to change the dogs to IAMS. When I was doing the switch, the dogs ate all the IAMS and left the 4Health in the bowl, they ate around the 4Health. Happily, the dogs are back to being excited about dinnertime, eat with vigor, and lick their bowls clean. I am very happy with the IAMS and with the WalMart price, plus free shipping. I don't have to lug that bag into a cart then into the car then into the house. Perfect!

I have had dogs since 1989.  My first one came from the SPCA.  He was a German shepherd and weighted  50 lbs.  The vet said to give him Iams puppy.  I did he got up to 55 lbs.  Ate as much as he wanted when he wanted.  He ate it until he was 15 yrs old.  My second  GSD came from a rescue.  He was 60 lbs and got up to 65.  Again how much and when he wanted.  This was not the puppy food.  He lived to be 13.  I now have a 7 yr old GSD and an almost 7 yr old Puggle.  They both eat Iams.  I usually give the lamb and rice because  my GSD has a sensitive  tummy.   My cousins dogs eat some organic holistic raw food and will gobble up my dogs food when we go to visit.  Mine won't even touch theirs.   So the food must taste good to the pups.  Not sure if it is the food or luck but none of my dogs have had allergies or dry skin or dull coats with this food.

Recommended by our vet. Our dogs have always been healthy, so maybe its because of the Iams food. Though they do get bored after a while with the same food, if I leave it out, they eventually eat it.  The ferrets like it too. Whenever they are out, they will sneak over to the dog dishes and steal a piece. In fact, I found a pile hidden in a corner of a closet. Probably not a good fit for the nutritional needs of a ferret, but its definitely a healthier option than the molasses-based ferret treats, so if they like it, I dont mind them having some once in a while.

Healthy dogs and happy ferrets

I’ve gone back and forth between brands for my dog and after a couple years I decided on Iams. My dad is a good ol’ farm boy and has fed all his animals Iams. They’ve lived long, healthy lives with no health issues. My own dog was sensitive to so many other brands. This one gets him excited to eat and I don’t question what’s in it.

Farmer approved

Product was ordered through the mail, but arrived damaged and spilled out food. Now the only way to return for refund is to visit the store with 30lb bag which is not easy to do and why I needed it delivered. Oh well, I have had better luck with other products.

Not good by the mail

I don't understand why Walmart can't send a bag of dog food to my address without the bag getting ripped to pieces. The outer bag wasn't even sealed and the bag of food was ripped. This is not the first time this has happened but it WILL be the LAST. I will not shop here again.

Yes I would recommend this food,my dogs love it!! What I wouldn’t recommend is Walmart delivery ,they send me this bag of food without any protection,no package, just the bag ripped in my front foor. The bag was all messed up with the food coming out. First and last time I order dog food from Walmart.

Walmart Delivery and packaging the worst!!!!!!!

Love IAM dog food. Been feeding my dog this food for 6 years. My dislike is the way the 38.5 bag of food was shipped. Past orders bag of food was in a box or plastic shipping bag. This time the bag of food wasn't protected at all. Bag of food had 2 small holes and the food was coming out.

Shipping issues.

I have used Iams lamb and rice recipe for years without issue. The last bag I received had a small rip in it and in the packing box, I thought nothing of it. It smelled fine and was not expired. The day after feeding from this bag my dogs had severe diarrhea. Switched to chicken and rice and they started getting better. Not thinking it was the dry food fed them a small amount again and return of diarrhea worse this time. Threw out remaining food. To the vet we go.

ingredients listed on the website description not the same as on the bag . my dog is very allergic to soy, I spent a lot of time searching for a food that I could afford that didnt contain soy. I thought I could trust Iams. But my poor puppy is miserable, scratching and chewing. Checked the ingredients on the bag and soy meal is one of the main ingredients! 😡
