Yogourt recipe for those who don't know how to make it :

In a cooking pan, I put 450 ml of milk without lactose, with 1/2 cup of dry milk and mixed it well  (can be regular milk) ;

On the stove, I then heated the milk at medium heat, while stirring non stop with a spatula, until it reached 185 ̊ F on my cooking thermometer (don't boil the milk and don't let it burn at the bottom of the pan, stir it) ;

I put about a 1 1/2 inch of very cold water at the bottom of the sink in the kitchen and placed the pan in the cold water, and let it cool down to 110  ̊ F on the cooking thermometer (pour the cold  water before you heat the milk, if not it will burn ) ;

When the milk reached 110  ̊ F, I added 1/2 cup of nature yogourt containing Active Bacterial Cultures (I bought Dahi nature yogourt at $2.97 at Walmart) and it worked fine) ;

I then poured the preparation in the aluminum container of the yogourt maker (if first time, wash it thoroughly before using to not compromise the preparation).  The liquid will reach the top of the aluminum container.

Plug it, place the lid on and leave it there for 10 hours.  Note at what time the yogourt started fermenting.

After ten hours, pour the yogourt in a container and place it in the fridge to cool down.

This yogourt maker makes an excellent yogourt with a thick consistance.  It's very close to what the Greek yogourt looks like.  You can even make frozen yogourt with fruits.  There are recipes on the internet.

I love my yogourt maker, which is small, quiet and takes just a little bit of room. on my kitchen counter.  Thank you, Walmart.

I ordered an ice cream maker and got a yogurt maker. It's cheap plastic and you'll be lucky to get 1 use out of it. Don't buy. The instructions to return it are making people jump through hoops. I'm out money.
