The Igloo 150 quart cooler has been around for a long time and there is not much you can say negative about the cooler itself. The hinges are another story as  they are renown for being weak and not lasting very long - but I knew that going in as this is likely my 5th or 6th Igloo. You just have to be aware that the hinges, and often the front snaps will need to be replaced periodically. There are some aftermarket hinges made of a canvas like material available on eBay and other locationss that will likely outlast the cooler.

This cooler is great for keep all your foods cold while  camping and all other occasions. We traveled for 5 days and 4 nights from Colorado to Idaho into Yellowstone National Park,  Grand Tetons and back home. This cooler performed wonder. 6 blocks of ice and we were set the whole trip.

I like to offer cold towels at my gym for post-workouts, but can't afford a refrigerator just yet.  With this, I may be able to forego that investment altogether. I chill my towels the night before and this cooler keeps them icy the entire next morning!

I purchased this cooler because I am moving from one state to another, I will be able to transport all of my freezer food along with some dry ice, and not have to worry about anything defrosting or having to be left behind due to space.

This cooler looks great, is thick and rugged, and isn't so big that I can't move it around by myself. I would purchase this item again, the price is great, the cooler is as advertised.

Great cooler

Outstanding value for the money.  I have 3 of the 150gt coolers and fill them with fish every year.  We also use them for cold drinks, beer and water at a neighborhood party he hold every year.  Keep’s contents cold for days.  Purchased online and received in a few days. No problems.

Outstanding Value For Your Money

We got the cooler in 2 days, free freight as promised.  We had a party last Saturday and the remaining beverages are still on the initial ice a full week later.  Highs have been in the 50's and 60's.  Summer is coming and we expect great things!

Very well built unit and the Walmart price was lower than anything we could find.  It was also a convenient way to get a "seasonal" item most folks don't have on the floor this time of year.

Great Igloo Cooler at a Great Walmart Price!

Nice large cooler I got for my boat to hold fish. Will hold an actual four foot shark pretty easily and ice will last for a couple of days. I didn't rate it a five because of the way the smaller top lid is hinged. It is very handy but pops loose too easily. We leave the handles of a tall kitchen bag outside the small lid so that we can add fish like sea trout without opening the large lid or getting the inside of the ice chest dirty. I definitely would recommend it to others looking for a cooler this size.

Nice cooler well worth the money

The easy access hatch is what sets this cooler apart from all other coolers. I come in two sizes: 100qt. and 150qt. the later being perfect for big fish on the Great Lakes. The plastic latches and hinges that come with this cooler do not hold up over time. A stronger replacement set is available but adds an additional $20.00 + to the cost of the cooler. Stainless steel latches and hinges should be an option that comes with this cooler. Then this would truly be a great cooler.

Brand new out of the box the latch an the left side does not lay flat like the right one. Sticks out and probably get ripped off then hit removing it from the back of my truck. Haven't used cooler yet so don't know how it will hold up to open and close over the day of a party.

Igloo 150 qt cooler

Cooler kept my quartered deer cool for the entire six hour trip back home and overnight before taking it to the butcher. I never had to add ice. Cooler is fine. Walmart sent one of my coolers FedEx. It arrived a day late even though it was promised two days earlier.

After picking up the product from Walmart and getting home with it, upon closer inspections could see that the latches were very cheaply constructed and would not last long. The last cooler I had ended up with the same problem and broke. So I took this one back immediately for a refund.
