My modern favorite keyboard. I have 5 of them at home on various computers, one at work, and one at my in-law's house for when I travel. Why? I touch-type, and the key action is excellent, probably better than the first Apple Extendeds, almost as good as a 1985 WICO (which doesn't connect to anything now) and almost as good as the old IBM Selectric Mark II electric typewriter.

Illumination is excellent. The small legs put the keyboard at the right height for a touch typist - not too steep an angle. The wrist rest keeps lazy typists from getting carpal tunnel. The keyboard looks good - professional, not gamer. Functions work well. Wired connection is fast, if you are a gamer.

Logitech is an excellent company with over-the-top customer service. One of my keyboards (this model) died after an accident involving a half-full martini. I called them for help, and they sent me a new, free keyboard. You can't beat that. Even though I was up-front that it was a 90 proof accident.

One minor warning. PACK CAREFULLY if you travel with it. Don't jam it into your travel case. If you happen to pull a keycap off, it's really easy to break the mechanism that holds it back on. You are warned. If you break it, it's your own fault.

Would recommend this to anyone. With illuminated keys, wired, low profile keys, great stroke distance for fast typist, it will meet most of your requirements.

Don't know how long supplies will last as current price is a considerable drop since first introduced. Had previously owned two of these. However, baggage handlers were too much for those as they were damaged beyond repair. Finally I found these through Walmart.

Great Keyboard Purchase while Supplies Last

This is probably the best keyboard I have ever owned. It is so comfortable, the keys aren't too clicky. Very smooth to the touch. Very responsive. And the back lights have different settings, if you don't like them, they turn off. I keep mine on bright.

I highly recommend this keyboard.

Excellent Keyboard

I bought this keyboard to have a spare illuminated keyboard in case my existing older model should fail.  I love the illumination because it shows the keys well even in low light.  I tried this one to be sure it worked, and it was even better than the old one.  It works perfectly and has more features than before.  I am very happy with it and recommend it to anyone in the market for a keyboard.  It was easy to find on the Walmart website and very convenient to pick up from the store near me.

Great keyboard!

Fantastic keyword! Nicely back lit with an adjustable white light that goes powers down to "sleep" whenever the computer does! Keys are a very light touch! I haven't used the software for setting the F1-12 buttons yet, but plan to . It's also heavy enough so it doesn't slip or slide around, but stays in  place.

I love this keyboard!

I wanted a keyboard that was thin and quiet. This is definitely both! An added bonus for me is that I like how the bottom of the keyboard is comfortable to rest my hands on since I use my keyboard about 12 hours a day. Great buy!

Exactly what I wanted/expected

Love the key board, lights up so I can see it at night when the lights are turned down. Keys are quite.

Great keyboard, quite keys.

This will be the third Logetech Illuminated Thin Keyboard K740 I own. For me there is not a better keyboard made. A very high material quality keyboard. Only reason I am ordering a third one is because I fell asleep and dumped a coke on my old one.

Best usb wired keyboard around.

This keyboard is the ferrari of keyboards, slim 6m thick, quiet smooth typing and incredibly good looking. It goes so sick with both my VX and MX mice. Its great because when I want some tilt, it also has the ability to raise like almost all keyboards.
The lighting makes night time typing awesome. And there are 3 levels of dimness and of course of in case you dont want to use it. Makes any desktop look amazing. There are no other keyboards on the Market except the over the top Gaming keyboards that are to much for the average use.
Way worth the price, Anouther Excellent product from Logitech, Goes awesome with their top of the line mice. BUY IT!

Sickest Keyboard on the market!

I am a transcriptionist and after about three hours of typing, the "R" key popped up and would not snap back into place, causing me to have to change back to my old keyboard mid shift.  I will be returning this keyboard.  Not Walmart's fault...Logitech's product was faulty.  Will try getting a replacement and see what happens.  Great keyboard when it works!

I have purchased this Keyboard in the past years and liked it.  However, the keyboard I received in May 2018 was modified with a clear plastic trim on the outer edges of the Keyboard which reflects light like a mirror and the light is very irritating.
