I like the fact that the control knobs turn easily and aren't stiff, but I especially like the very low hysteresis that the thermostat has.  What is hysteresis, you ask?  It's basically a lag in response to a change in input.  In this case, a thermostat with a lot of hysteresis (as most thermostats are), reacts slowly to changes in temperature, so that when you set the heater to a certain temp, it will go well above that temp before it turns off, and go well below that temp before it turns back on again.   As a result, with a typical heater, the room temperature gets too high before the thermostat shuts off, and gets too cold before it turns on again.  This heater, however, has a more sensitive thermostat that cycles on and off more frequently, resulting in less of a range of temperature between cycles and maintaining a more precise room temp.  I like that.

I also like the heater's relatively small size., making it easy to put in places that a large heater might not fit.

The one thing I don't like is that the handle is strangely offset to one side, making carrying the heater a bit awkward.

Surprisingly, size is not the issue. It gives off great heat and shuts down when it gets to hot. Very pleased

Great little heater except for one thing.  THE PILOT LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME.  So, you can't just glance at it and see if it is still running.  What good is a pilot lamp if it doesn't show if the unit is on?

When you turn this heater on it makes a horrible loud sound for about 1 min. It eventually goes away. I imagine this cheep little thing wont last the winter. 
The only adjustments are low and high. I would like a real thermostat that shuts off at a certain temperature.

At the moment, I own three of these fans. I bought the first one in 2012 (for $21.75!). It just recently died of old age and I replaced it with the same model in February of this year. I've always been happy with them, so I just assumed the new one would be fine and threw the box away. When I turned it on that night, I noticed a noise that should not have been there. I checked the fan and found that the back and front panels had not been sealed correctly - there was an open space on the top. I couldn't return it because I didn't have the box, so I placed tape over the open space, and that quieted it down - it was always defective and never worked as well as the other fans, however. Last night, it fell from a distance of 25 inches, landed on carpet, no damage was done to the outside, but stopped working completely! That should not have happened. The fan it replaced was in exactly the same spot for 14 years - it fell a few times during that period and never stopped working. I paid $13 more for the same exact model and, after just two months, it is worthless. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

it cuts off and doesn't come back on for  hours..not worth the buy, I'm returning it to a Walmart store.
