I received this comal for free as part of a promotional campaign in exchange for writing an honest review.

Honestly this is one of the best comals on the market. It is light, heats up quick, my tortillas do not get stuck. The round shape makes a big difference when heating up the tortillas, I don't struggle to get all sides like a I do with my square one. The comal is practically weightless, I love that it's so easy to pick up. This has definitely triggered me to start checking out other IMUSA products and seeing how I can update my kitchen.

I did not expect such good quality from the price. About 4 years ago I had bought this same item and was a little disappointed to find how fast it had changed colors so having this second chance to try it out I can definitely see improvements. It heats up evenly and I was able to reheat foods such as pizza and tamales on it.

Definitely did not expect such great quality

I recently tried the 9" Carbon Steel Nonstick Round Comal with Metal Handles and was very impressed with its performance. Compared to other pans I've used, it heats evenly and cooks food quickly without sticking, making it perfect for tortillas, pancakes, and everyday cooking. One of the biggest benefits is how durable and lightweight it feels while still providing great heat retention. I would definitely buy this product again and would recommend it to friends and family looking for a reliable and easy-to-use comal

I'll buy one for my mom

I used this frying pan to cook hamburgers, eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches. I really liked how fast it cooked everything. I did find that cooking eggs left some extra residue on the bottom. I did not use butter to cook so maybe that is the reason. Compared to other pans, I think this pan is much better quality than the rest. It is small and flat , it makes it easy to store. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to try your product.

Fat cooking

I've been using this 11" carbon steel comal for a few weeks and I'm impressed! It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and gives food that perfect sear you just don't get with nonstick pans. Great for tortillas, quesadillas, or sautéing veggies. A quick oil wipe keeps it seasoned and ready to go!

I use it daily!

I used the pan to heat up tortillas for fish tacos and it worked out better than I imagined! The tortilla was a little crispy but still soft and cooked very quickly. The pan is taco shell sized, thin and easy to store. Can't wait to try quesadillas or crepes!

I've been missing this pan in my life!

great lightweight comal!

I've been making tortillas, pancakes and even crepes on my Comal and it works beautifully for all of them. Heat transfers rather evenly and I didn't have any real hot/cold spots like I've had in the past with other pans.

The only minor gripe I have is the finish on the non-stick on my specific Comal, has some bubbling in a few very small spots. Time will tell if they're true bubbles or if the finish had a run and created a little bump. Either way, I would definitely buy again and I'm happily expecting a long life from this pan!

Solid Comal, would buy again!

The product itself does what it needs to but it has this god awful smell. I scrubbed it again extremely well and whenever it heats up it emits this smell that fills the house. It has never transferred to the food but I have avoided using it due to this and am looking for a new one.

Disgusting smell when heated

Imusa sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program and I was so excited, as I do not own a flat, round griddle-like pan. I had high hopes for being able to cook things like quesadillas, grilled cheese, etc., but unfortunately from the moment I opened the box I was disappointed. The pan is lightweight but feels too lightweight to be safe. The handles are metal and I was worried about burning my hands. I used it to try both quesadillas and a grilled cheese sandwich. Both burnt quickly without the cheese fully melting. I followed the washing instructions (prior to first use) and also washed it after cooking with it, and after only two washes the coating on the pan is flaking off. Unfortunately I will not be purchasing anything from this brand.
