This molcajete has many uses ; grinding herbs to powder or old fashion salsa. I love the compact size but still very roomie. It can be used as a artisanal piece to showcase. I love it , I have a smaller molcajete but IMUSA molcajete is so much grandeur in size with a two sided pestilence.

Beautiful and majestic molcajete

IMUSA

Not only is the molcajete fun to use, it's a hit when serving out of. I made guacamole using 5 avocados and they all fit plus two pits to keep it fresh. It was way easier to use the molcajete than a simple fork and bowl. I served the guac directly out of it and our friends loved it. I was worried clean up would be harder but surprisingly it cleaned out easily with no trouble. The booklet came with a few recipes. I wish it had some others but I can also use the internet for that. Overall, I love this and can't wait to use it more often with some different salsas.

Love love love

It's so versatile, I like having the option to grind up herbs, make guac, it can also handle extreme temperatures so a melty dip or fresh fruit ice cream is no big deal. It's durable. A very simple piece that has added so much value to my culinary adventures.

I love this thing

Before I started cooking, I made sure to season my molcajete. I washed it with mild soap, rinsed it well then I ground up rice, salt, and garlic. I put water in it in the water held so I know it was nice and seasoned. First thing I made was a chimichurri with peppers and spices. It was so much easier, grinding them up than it is to chop everything in little pieces. The mulcajete worked great. Next thing I'm gonna do is salsa for Cinco de Mayo. I think this is gonna come in very handy. It's built well very sturdy and it looks great sitting on the counter. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Rinsing it out and using a light touch with a brush is what I'm doing. I'm not putting soap on it unless I use something very oily which I haven't yet. Can't wait for Cinco de Mayo to have a more authentic salsa and guacamole.

Excellent product

The IMUSA 8-Inch Granite Molcajete with Booklet is a sturdy and authentic kitchen tool that's perfect for making fresh salsas, guacamole, and grinding spices by hand. Made from solid granite, it feels durable and long-lasting, while the rough interior surface helps create rich textures and enhances flavor in a way blenders can't match. Its 8-inch size is practical for small gatherings without taking up too much storage space, and the included pestle is comfortable and effective to use. The added booklet is a helpful bonus, offering seasoning instructions and simple recipes, making it beginner-friendly. Although it requires a bit of care when cleaning and seasoning, the overall performance and traditional experience make it a great value for anyone looking to elevate their cooking.

Authentic Flavor Made Easy: IMUSA 8-Inch Granite Molcajete R

First i want to say how beautiful this looks in the center when serving guacamole or queso. The quality is amazing and looks very durable. It is very heavy but that's what makes it authentic. Overall I'm very satisfied and highly recommend. I received this for free, all opinions are my own.

Beautiful molcajete

I received this item for free for my honest review and it took a while for me to give my review since with items time is key when it comes to truly utilizing a product that elevates cooking. With so many gadgets and gizmos in today's world its nice to have an item that is so innovative itself that it doesn't need a tech upgrade, and I've been wanting one of these for the longest time as its such a standard item in the kitchen in my culture and im so happy I was able to try one out for myself. Its versatile is helping me blend spices together for my cooking and it definitely elevates my salsas and dishes more than simple blending does as its been proven that lava rock molcajetes like these extract the oils from the items you crush. Its great for making and holding guacamole and its a great presentation bowl that helps retain heat once transferred to the table so I was able to put dinner on the table and have the meat and tortilla kept warm all dinner long. Cleaning it was easy and though heavy its good to know it wont break so easily as everything else in my kitchen. Excellent product.

Great Inexpensive investment

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Compared to other tools I've used like blenders, this molcajete gives a much better, more authentic taste—especially for salsa and guacamole. It's sturdy, feels like great quality, and really brings out the flavor of the ingredients.

One big benefit is how it grinds ingredients naturally without over-processing them. I also liked that it came with a booklet to guide me.

Yes, I would definitely buy this and recommend it to my friends and family!

Love This Molcajete

I have been wanting to get a molcajete for a while but usually pricey to get authentic one. I wanted to try one first and I have to say this is a great product for the price and quality. Looks and feels super durable, and a great addition to my kitchen equipment. I have used it a few times already and very happy with quality.

Great purchase for price

Thanks IMUSA for the free molcajete to try out in exchange for a review. So my honest review is I'll definitely buy it again! Making salsa in this taste so much better than in the blender! It's a work out on your arm but super worth it. Make sure to wash the product before hand.

I would buy this product.

I was not happy with the finishing, size was good but ended up returning. The dust from the granite was not manageable. I would rather prefer a black granite.

Good size, but hard to seaon
