Easy replacement for our 20yr old 1/3 hp original build Insinkerator.  Upgrade to 1 hp not necessary but LOVE the quiet aspect and  absolutely disintegrates all bones and waste I can throw at it.......have not tried the beef bone test yet, but so far pretty bullet proof!

Since the cost and difficulty of installing a disposal is the same for a cheap one or a good one, I opted for the best quality I could find.  I paid more than I would have paid for a cheap disposal, but this disposal is solid, heavy, quiet, and will last a long time.

Top-Quality Disposal

This is InSinkerator's best disposal yet. We purchased it to replace an earlier, similar, model that failed unexpectedly due to an odd circumstance: A  small, brass screw from one of my wife's kitchen tools wound up going down the drain my mistake. Sadly, it got jammed between the impeller blades and the inside cylinder and could no be removed. The new one, like the previous unit, is very quiet and incorporates all of the company's latest features. It has a 10-year warranty. I cringe a bit when spending over $400 for a disposal! However, this is a very high=quality appliance.

InSinkErator's Best

We purchased this garbage disposal to replace an old one that had to be removed. I was reluctant about noise, with such a large motor, after doing the research I decided to take the chance. Wow, am I glad I did. This garbage disposal is quieter than the tap water hitting the stainless steel sink bottom while it is running. Tried some chicken bones in it and it made a little more noise but the bones where gone in 20 seconds. This comes with a seven year in house warranty, is priced competitively with the home improvement stores, and was delivered within 3 days. What is not to Love about that? Installation was simple, it is well engineered, and well built. We are very happy with this product.

Outstanding Value

Make sure it fits. If it does, get it. So much quieter than any others I've ever used or been around. There was no instruction on installing the baffle, it simply snaps into place from the sink  opening.

Quiet and large

Super quiet and very easy to install. I also purchased the power button to operate it. 
Would highly recommend this disposal unit. 
Don't forget to buy the power cord though!

Super quiet and easy to install

I had purchased this model from Amazon 4 years ago and then suddenly it started to leak from the bottom. Since this product came with a 7 year warranty, I called the company expecting to argue with them to get them to honor the warranty. Instead, they asked a few questions then gave me 2 options: 1. Have a new unit replaced by a professional with the new unit only having the balance of 3 years warranty; or, 2. Receive a new unit in the mail and be responsible for its installation but with a full 7 year warranty. I chose the second option and received my unit FedEx 4 days later. I took down the broken one and replaced it with the new one. Everything has worked great ever since. I'm happy with the new unit but even happier with the way the company honored the warranty. A helpful hint for others is since this unit weighs so much, I used a board over a scissor jack to raise the unit and hold it in place while I turned the locking ring.

Does the job better than any other disposer I've had.

I had a disposal and after it plugged up twice with potatoe peels, the repairman said that disposals weren't made for peels. Bull!! I got the insinkerator and was so impressed. It was so quiet, I had to check that I turned it on. I have ground up things that I never imagined like small bones, banana peels, asparagus, celery and lots of potatoe peels. I would recommend this product to anyone and I just love it! As to installation, we had a plumber do it because of our back problems to get under the sink. However, he didn't seem to have a problem and was done replacing our old one within an hour or so.

So quiet and efficient.

Powerful 1.0hp, continuous feed disposal and nearly inaudible standing next to it (stating it as quiet does not seem fair). Many other additional features, too numerous to mention here.

Rolls Royce of Kitchen Disposals

It's quiet, but doesn't do its job very well. I've had it for two years. It was installed by my contractor, so I really don't know how easy it was to install, but they didn't comment negatively. It takes forever (and a lot of water) to grind vegetable scraps, and I always have unground remains that i have to pull out of it to keep it from stinking. Forget onion skins, broccoli stems, and citrus rinds: I don't even send them down the drain with this disposer, I put them in the trash. Disappointed.
